Anybody here ever used yoga almost exclusively as their workout routine? I'd like to for a lean and well-defined surfers body sort of look, and heard that besides surfing itself, yoga is the second best fitness routine to achieve that sort of look because both are very similar workouts with a lot of emphasis on stabilizer muscles and balance. Any thoughts or experiences?

gayGGGGGGG
guys with yoga physiques would pull an incredible amount of pussy.
Asanas can do it for you. Lots of things will work, you just gotta DO them.
A picture like this can easily be photoshopped.
>finds it so amazing it must be fake
Fatass detected. That's Dharma Mitra, a very famous yoga teacher.
>bench press 4 pl8
>ehh not impressive
>hold yourself in the air weighing less than 200lb
>impossible, must be photoshop
The state of dumb Black folk
Same guy, but older.
i feel like yoga would be a great active recovery/baseline for flexibility and fitness for a lot of other forms of exercise, even like powerlifting, more minor muscles around the core being stronger would help grestly with squat, deadlift, ohp even.
It most definitely would. Anything that works with balance as its main focus is fantastic for smaller stabilizer muscles.
Wow nice numbers. Can anyone redpilled me on the difference between calisthenics and yoga?
Imagine the intensity doing a static exercise like a plank, but instead of just hitting only your core, you apply that exercise and feeling to your whole body, and for like an entire 30 minutes minimum. Yeah its pretty intense.
/this is not /lgbt/
frick off, fatceps.
You provide oral sex to men for free. Sad!
Yes it is. Also fat Black person I bet you can’t do this!
This guy does yoga too. Would be great to build muscle and burn tons of calories at the same time without having to split between lifting and cardio, or swimming (don't have a pool).
When I do yoga guided by Apple Fitness+ my heart rate tends to hover around 130ish or so
When I’m walking uphill at 3 MPH I get 150something BPM
generally yoga moves are the recovery moves when I’m playing Ring Fit Adventure
I don’t see how these men are getting ripped unless they’re doing yoga for three hours a day as an instructor, maintaining a 500 calorie deficit for a decade, and also maybe lifting weights like the rest of us
How would you get into yoga without being labeled as a creep? Lets face it, its mostly women who do yoga by far and I don't want to catch "omg he's so creepy" bullshit.
I'm not talking about going to classes necessarily, just watch Youtube videos or some shit. Another huge benefit of possibly getting into Yoga would be the ability to do it anywhere like at home, or somewhere more fun like the beach, without having to waste time to commute to some boring, sterile gym.
>How would you get into yoga without being labeled as a creep?
The frick? First of all, you can do it alone, second, yoga classes are not made for women only. Historically its mostly been men. The entire asana practice was designed by men, as was the whole philosophy of Yoga.
still deeply rooted in the feminine philosophy of sankhya tho
Bro look at the physique of any man who regularly practices Yoga and then redefine your use of the word "feminine".
you've clearly missed the point i was trying to make and made the argument about the physical aspect of "yoga"
yoga isn't just a set of practices and asanas, there's actually a big philosophical movement behind it that is rooted in a culture predating the aryan invasion into the hindu culture
the philosophy of it is still a solid piece of work, but it's roots are feminine in nature, about nurturing and caring for it rather than pushing it to the limits and forging it into a tool to use
t. does asanas
That’s vague. You can’t use yoga, so nobody wants more mobility or can use that? Your gender began as a woman so you can’t be a man? Make a point and make sense bro.
the frick
damn you're moronic
I'll wait for the anon of that post to reply instead
>sankhya
>feminine
If demanding evidence, not believing anything blindly, and using logical deduction is feminine then i guess my pronouns are she/her
Mirin'
Imagine thinking doing shit like this
or even this is good for you. We were never meant to have ridiculous flexibility and doing that shit provides no benefit and actually DESTABILIZES your joints. So many people into yoga need all kinds of surgeries and refuse to recognize why
>t. powerlifter with 2 fake hips at age 40
I actually do yoga I just think the way it is now is fricking stupid. People should be using it to improve their health not to pad their egos in a moronic way. For the average male the hip and knee joints were not meant to do shit like that and if you think otherwise then you are fricking stupid
>lotus seat is extreme
I've never not been able to do it easily. Cope, fatcep.
Are you just tucking your feet into your opposite knees? I never did it before and I can do it I just tried, is that what lotus is? It was pretty easy.
THey should rest on the thighs for lotus. But other seated poses are recognized as well. I do tuck my toes into the back of my knees when it's cold.
Post physique then. I guarantee you look like shit. Whatever gets your rocks off though, if being able to do b***h moves somehow bizarrely makes you feel physically superior then good for you. You’re fricking dumb as a rock and pathetic, but still, good for you
>Post physique then. I guarantee you look like shit. Whatever gets your rocks off though, if being able to do b***h moves somehow bizarrely makes you feel physically superior then good for you. You’re fricking dumb as a rock and pathetic, but still, good for you
So how do you look?
Pretty good. Frauding though, and like I said I do yoga. I just think it’s bizarre how much extreme flexibility has been overvalued especially for men. A lot of guys who are great at yoga would be better off spending a lot of that time lifting and a lot of guys who are great at lifting could use some time spent doing yoga
Care to post it?
It doesnt have to be advanced or even stretchy poses, I'd like to focus more on strengthening static poses like
My idea is more about getting lean and defined, rather than flexibility.
How to find a good yoga studio that actually helps to builds that muscles? It seems like most yoga places in my area are too women focused and it seems too soft. I do calisthenics and I think yoga would help me and I would also like to meet women with kino feet.
Just started watching this guy on Youtube, I'm no expert but it seems like a good starting point? He focuses on muscle activation poses in many of his videos...
Seems good, thanks.
No problem, if you end up seeing results with Yoga please up date the board. If Yoga can really get people as ripped and in shape as surfers, then it might be a hidden gem many dudes are sleeping on.
Will try.
Looks good.
Ok IST. You convinced me of many things. I will try yoga.
Look at how ripped this dude is...
that isn't from yoga. his channel is primarily a calisthenics channel
Just do these 3 asanas and you will transcend this realm of existence
>Hanumanasana
>Shirshasana
>Sarvangasana
I dont need to transcend this realm of existence I just want a body like pic related...
just have low body fat. the rest is genetics and muscle insertions creating symmetry (beauty)
Why are Americans so insecure about their masculinity? Just because a lot of women do yoga doesn't mean you can't do it as well. 99% women aren't really into yoga anyway, it's just an excuse for them to show off their asses.
>99% women aren't really into yoga anyway
True. I teach an asana class and most women can't do fricking anything, even the other teachers. As usual, it's almost entirely men who excel.
