Traditional Christmas food is mostly chicken and fish. Its probably healthier than regular food.

Are you unironically going to eat chicken and sing christmas songs with your boomer family while your friends are out there partying?

Parties are for drinking cheap wine and vodka. There's usually no food.

Yes. I will spend Christmass with my family.
I will share a holy Christmass wafer with them and I will spend the eve sharing gifts and eating the food cooked by my mom lovingly with my help.
I cherish the Catholic traditions we have and I don't want to give them up for short pleasures.
Then I will spend the first and second day of Christmass with my further relavtives, and hopefully my girlfriends family too.
And all my friends do the same, because we have great relationships with our own family.

Where do you live, mexico? Traditional christmas food is basically thanksgiving food but with more all pastries, cakes, and puddings with the occasional honey baked ham.

It wasn't the sugar, it was the sneed oils.

    >Christmas
There's a big botanical garden a few hours from where I live. All season long they have this event going where they put up holiday displays and light them up at night for people to walk around and see. Bought a ticket last month and am going to spend the night of Christmas eve doing that by myself.

    >New years
Going camping overnight in the mountains a few hours away. Already have a good spot picked out. It's just a short hike, then I set up, sleep, and wake up around 5:30 on new years morning to watch the sunrise. Also alone.

I am constantly gaslighting myself with the idea that I'm a lone, stoic protagonist in a literally me movie like Drive in order to cope, but I still have memorable experiences.

I have no choice, gym is closed on Christmas

Last Christmas I was on a severe cut (1000 - 1500 cals/day), instead of eating I drank a bottle of whiskey to myself, woke up the next day and crawled to the toilet. Spent all morning with my face inside the bowl, throwing up. I felt pathetic.
New year's eve I was in the gym when the fireworks were going off. I've drank once since then (on my bday in June).
I've fixed myself this year, realised what's important and hit my weight goal after a 60lbs cut, my body and mind have drastically changed. Muscle where fat existed, clarity where I was lost.
So no, I won't be sacrificing gains or progress. I'm focused this time.

I'm sure I could find some place to spend my time at on the new year's, but I feel like punishing myself and just sleeping through it in my bed. Either I get my shit together, or I never celebrate, simple as
