You fuckers lied about the neck!

You said it would blow up within a few weeks, but I've been doing it for the past month and almost nothing. Super high reps 3 times a week, with bodyweight/lightweight. Gain muscle everywhere else, am I just doomed to be a necklet? Or is it just like every other muscle where I have to hit it for like a year before it looks any different?

    Shit training. Go down in reps and up in weight. Treat them like other muscles, work them in 8-15 rep range 3-5 sets per session 2 time per week

      How much volume are we talking about? How much weight?
      Same principles for growing any muscle applies to your neck. 3 sets of 8-12 reps once or twice a week should be fine. If you want higher reps like 10-20, that would also be okay.

      Like 50+ reps in each set for a massive pump, and slowly working up weights. I follow

      Since I am going back to mma soonish depending on my work situation, but my neck looks undersized and I don't want it to get worse as I continue to lift. I only need it to be roughly the width of my jaw for aesthetics (jawchad checking in)

          I think neck stuff actually helps rectify the posture of the head, I can't explain why so dyor

          Why are you doing 50 reps? Neck is trained just like any other muscle group. Stick to 10-30.

          Low reps make my neck feel stiff a d achy, I don't go below 20 to 30 for that reason. I keep hearing the meme that it responds to volume, so I started doing high reps after failing with lower reps the last time I tried to train it months ago

          Somewhat well, I noticed my claves response the best to higher rep range, and they've been slowly growing over the past year (still calflet, but theyre improved), gonna start on forearms soon

          Is there a particular weight that is irritating you? Can you work a little below that weight?

          I got to 35 lbs curls for close to 10 reps like a year ago but gave it up becauae the neck issues scared me, I'm going to slowly start working up the weight and keep at it for at least six months while I bulk, it's weird being able to bench roughly 2pl8 and still having a scrawny neck

            i don't know the answer to how fast, but it will probably be on the scale of months/years rather than weeks/days.

            that being said, one thing that does atrophy quickly is strength, rather than muscle mass. i used to be in great shape, got lazy recently, had to go to rehab for a near-broken wrist when I tried to get back into it and hit the heavy bag too hard like an idiot

            one of the things they had me do was just a basic plank. i surprised myself with how quickly my core gave out. it's crazy because my silhouette was the same. i still looked like I lift, I just haven't been recently.

            be less paranoid about your looks fading and more about your strength fading.

    You only do high reps in the beginning to "grease the groove". After that you're going for hypertrophy so stay in the 10-12 range and slow down on the eccentric portions of the movement.

    I didn't measure with a tape measure only my hands, but I made noticeable gains in a month. I can no longer wrap my hands fully around without squeezing pretty hard

    It you can’t neck curl at least a 45lbs plate for at least 20 reps, then why the frick are you complaining? Any non-deformed adult male should be able to achieve this within a few months, at most.

      I just hit it like an hour ago starting with 5lbs for 20+ reps done slow and perfectly, got a big pump with no pain so far, I’ll keep working at it for the next 4/5 months or so and update then, I’ll also take progress pics

      Also necks can be loose bc all women are loose by default, which makes supergirl a neck bawd
