You gotta train to failure, they said. Don't train to failure, hold back some for systemic fatigue, they said.

You gotta train to failure, they said. Don't train to failure, hold back some for systemic fatigue, they said. You'll easily hit 1/2/3/4 for noob gains, they said. Doing lower reps for more sets is better, they said. No, don't do that, you have to do hypertrophy cycle first, they said. Don't even train hard. you gotta manage CNS fatigue, they said. Just follow a program for certified gains, they said.

I've made fricking 0 progress over the past YEAR. I'M STILL A DYEL FRICK. I GET MOGGED BY DUMBFRICKS WHO GO TO THE GYM FOR FUN. Can't believe I got convinced to do this shit.

      >lift
      I do that everyday
      >eat
      I do that everyday
      >sleep
      I do that everyday

And I've still made 0 progress.

          >lift better
2x frequency, 10-15 sets per muscle per week
          >eat better
2500+ calories, fat as frick, good protein intake
          >sleep better
at least 7 hours a day, more likely 9

I'm in a similar position to you. I've been living for a long time and my lifts never progressed into what most people consider intermediate territory. I'm not saying that I've trained like a pro athlete, but I've put in significant time and effort and the results just don't come the way they do to most people. I still lift because it's a good challenge and I think it still offers a health benefit.

If you enjoy it keep going.
Biggest thing I can say, is attack your weakpoints, fix them, and compounds will go up.
If you can't squat find a variant you can, or fix your shit.

If you aren't training hard, max that out first and see what happens.

Lol sucks to suck man. Did you have fun? If you don't enjoy lifting then maybe try something else. I've been 5'9, 140ish lbs for years but I enjoy lifting so i keep at it. That said my lifts have gone up and I've gained a little but of muscle bit I'm basically a genetic freak for lack of muscle gain. It is what it is. Do what you love homie

I find lifting fun, but it isn't fun when I get mogged by people who just go, lift, leave, and get bigger than me. It isn't fun when I LOSE strength and don't progress. I'm either moronic, missing some crucial part of lifting, or I'm just a dead end genetic freak.

I get this and I used to hate it too. It can still bother me if I focus too much on it. Tbh that's never gonna change and if you are like me you are never gonna be the biggest or strongest or shreddest guy but you can still be a sicker c**t than you were yesterday. If I wanted to be "good" at something relative to the average joe maybe I'd try like half marathons? Idk I fricking hate running so that's off the table. You just gotta try to not worry about other peoples progress. Sry mang I know its not much but its the best advice I got

I've make shit progress over a year and half but I made a ton of mistakes, I've threw I'm Squat Every Day, I've had like 5 different programmes, I stall like sedan in a tar pit. Finally found myself a programme that I really like (Hepburn method) and I'm doing well on it so far. Just gotta keep showing up.

    AND EAT MORE.

I eat plenty, I'm overweight, 30% bf, eat about 120-150g protein each day, and I still don't make shit. I go to the gym 5x a week and have lost progress.

I have mobility problems, I've been doing stretches everyday to no avail. I front squat like 145.

              >I can't back squat
Do you at least dumbbell or kettlebell squat?

See? I've got dogshit numbers too. Not all of us can be Chad hitting 1/2/3/4 in 3 months I guess.

Most things are bell curves. You're at the bottom of the bell curve, that's all. Not everybody can be winners or even average, some people have to suck.

Add weight or reps on a weekly basis, while doing a decent amount of volume for each body part and training close to failure.

Rest until you’re almost recovered, then go again.

If you don’t want to make your own program, then do SS, SL, or GSLP.

I’ve been working out for 15 years. I’ve made most of my progress in the last 5 years since I got a home gym. So much easier to just hit the weights consistently. I’m focusing on upper body right now and all I’ve been doing for the last 2 months are,
    OHP + pull ups
    Dips + triceps push downs
Takes about 30min, 3 days per week and it’s a lot of fun. Doesn’t fry you and you’re fresh for the next session.

You probably kept switching programs instead of sticking with something consistently, or got frustrated that you weren't progressing as fast as you wanted.
Quit seething about people "mogging" you and just focus on doing your workouts consistently.

Eating is 90% of the job. Going to the gym is the remaining 10%.
