You guys actually pay for protein powder? A tub is like 35-40 bucks and lasts about 10 days. I'm not spending $100 a month on this shit. I just walk into a drug store once a week and toss it in my bag and walk out lol.

10 days? its a supplement not a meal replacement for homeless losers.
I don't. I'd rather spend the money on chicken or steak
>lasts about 10 days
You know you're supposed to have a scoop or two a day, not replace every meal, right?
No I eat more than 200g every day
whey as gotten fricking expensive. it used to be $10 = 1 lb (in Canadians dollar too) now it's more than double.
Costco sells 6 lb muscle pharm for like 56, or like 39 on sale (twice this year so far).
It's cheaper than meat when you compare the cost per gram of protein
>actually using 5 scoops
whey is a byproduct of making cheese. I know a farmer nearby and go there once a week to get 10 liters of whey for free because he would throw it away anyway. I just drink it post workout and during the day. It doesn't taste that bad tbh
That sounds convenient, although it is hard to know exactly what you're getting. As in, the main thing I'd be worried about is how much milk fat and lactose or other carbs makes its way into the whey. The tub product is nice because I know i'm getting whey isolate and the macros/calories
Based, if you're in CA you can take one every time you go, no one gives a shit
Protein powders are a supplement company meme and are completely unnecessary. If you are getting 100g of protein a day you are fine, which is easy to get from fish chicken or beef twice a day.
>100g a day
>sufficient
Post body
Read many medical and sports science studies on this. 0.7 grams per pound of bodyweight is the general consensus on what you need to build muscle.
I operated this way for a long time but did not make serious progress in my exercise/build (especially attempts to cut) until I took protein count seriously. With 100g you will definitely make some progress if you're DYEL or trying to maintain a modest amount of muscle, but you will not be able to get bodybuilder big
these studies are almost always talking about athletes in sports like swimming, running, football, etc, where the goal with protein intake is ONLY to recover and perform optimally, not put on as much lean mass as possible. When you are a bodybuilder, the extra protein is necessary because you are trying to put on lots of muscle that athletes aren't and don't want
Helps me get my protein for breakfast. I put it in a blender with some fruit, collagen, greek yogurt, oats and orange juice. Easy 50 grams. The rest of my protein comes from meats and eggs
My whey costs me $25 a month, if you need more than a scoop a day you either have a shit diet or you fell for the supplementisraelite meme
The joke went over your head, he get his protein powder for free
I bought two of these on a 1+1 sale. Dont buy protein without sale or just buy quark
What’s the cheapest protein powder per lb that isn’t utter goyslop?
Just buy the Optimum Gold Standard
You can dig up old test results where broscience (emphasis on science) dudes actually did the spectro tests to analyze actual protein content and Optimum was always at or near the top.
ON got super expensive dude. last year I watched it go up ~$10 in a month and then up like 20 more in another month, it's gotten absurd. However, Nutricost is a brand I've tried recently that still has decent prices. Their preworkout is also good, but it would be perfect if it didn't have so much theanine... not sure why several preworkouts I've tried include like 300mg of theanine
