You guys put effort into intermittent fasting?

I've been doing this shit my whole life unconciously.

>Wake up at 7
>Drink water until 9-10
>Eat breakfast
>Drink water until 4-5
>Go workout
>Eat dinner around 6-7

Granted my meals weren't healthy until I started dieting recently, but I can't believe people have to try and do this

If youre eating two meals a day, in both morning and evening, you're not doing IF.

Do OMAD in a two hour eating window.

I’d do it but I think I’d GO MAD haha breakfast is important to me

Yes, its important, therefore its hard to give up.
Anyway IF isn't hard at all, people are just used to grazing throughout the day so theres a small adjustment period. I do 22 hour fasts daily when I cut (doing this right now) and a 2 hour eating window around 6pm or so. The first week is rough but after that, with enough water you don't even really start getting hungry till 5PM or so. OMAD is more than enough to satisfy yourself.

What exactly is IF then if not eating two meals a day in 8+ hour intervals

its eating in an 8 hour window and fasting for the remaining 16 hours.

So just skipping breakfast? That’s IF? You all actually struggle with that?

Nobody is going on about how hard it is except you saying other people do. OMAD is easy as frick. People are just addicted to eating. What are you trying to prove?

16 hours is the bare minimum to start getting the benefits of IF. Ideally you do 20+ hour fasts daily. I found 20hr fast/4hr feeding to be a good place to start, but eventually I found that I barely ate the last two hours so I just switched to 22/2

please be aware that some day youll have to start learning to eat normally again (aka 3 meals + snacks) while staying in a caloric window to maintain your weight. fasting may be good for you right now if youre really fat and want to kickstart your weight loss, but its not something you should do forever. anyone who tells you otherwise is literally bulimic, just like the majority of the posters in the fasting generals

I bulk like this too. The health benefits of fasting are well documented. When I bulk I can easily fit all my caloric needs into a 4 hour window. I don't understand what you think is unhealthy about it. 3 "Square meals" is a long proven falsehood, considering breakfast is an invention of the 20th century. You don't need to be eating all day anon.

              >In Greek literature, there are numerous mentions of ariston, a meal taken not long after sunrise. The Iliad notes this meal with regard to a labor-weary woodsman eager for a light repast to start his day, preparing it even as he is aching with exhaustion.[7] The opening prose of the 16th book of the Odyssey mentions breakfast as the meal being prepared in the morning before attending to one's chores.[8] Eventually ariston was moved to around noon, and a new morning meal was introduced.

my homie doesn’t know about how they would eat their largest meal for breakfast because they had to be out doing physical labor for the rest of the day and wouldn’t return home to eat until night

So much cope. Your body doesn't need a blood sugar spike first thing in the morning, after a long period of rest. Keep stuffing your face first thing after waking up, morons.

Protip: what do you think hunter gatherers did when they woke up? On an empty stomach, they chased the meals they'd have for lunch.

could you show some understanding and compassion for your fellow humans? or at least attempt to understand addiction. food addiction in this case just makes you chase the feeling of fullness 24/7 just to feel normal. just be glad you dont have to force yourself to beat it.

IF is a meal every 24 hours. So you eat only once at 4 PM or smth and have nothing but water outside of that window.

You utter wanker. It's about the time you don't eat. If you eat two spread out meals over the day it's not working there is food in your belly
