You will never be a real pull-up. You have no core engagement, you have no range of motion, you have no lat stretch. You are a homosexual exercise twisted by roids and fatness into a crude mockery of nature’s perfection.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back bars mogg you. Your crafters are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your DYELish enthusiasts behind closed doors.
Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even machines who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your steel structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a fit guy workout with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected seat.
You will never be effective. You wrench out a fake pump every single workout and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - your owner will buy a real bar, get some chalk, put in a dip belt around it's waist and muscle-up himself into the high sky. Your users will find you, rusty but relieved that they no longer have to exercise with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll throw you into a junk yard with a sticker marked with your production date, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a bullshit equipment is buried there. Your metal frame will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably DYEL.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no growing back.
The lat pulldown should be known as the assisted pullup machine. I know there are dedicated assisted pullup machines but we should extend the moniker to both because they're equally embarrassing to use.
I kek every time
YWNBAP
So you should do pull-ups unless you can't then just do lat pull downs I get it, thanks bro
Unironically no. I'm still a weak gay but I can do pullups no thanks to lat pull-downs. I did them a bunch and still couldn't do a pull-up for the longest.
The best way to learn how to do pullups are Assisted pullups and controlled negatives.
Yup controlled negatives are the way to go, I did my first 3 pull ups at 95kg thanks to negatives
frick off they are great for fat people such as myself who would legitimately pop shoulder/elbow joints if i tried too hard at pull ups immediately instead of scaling and serially increasing the weight with the lat pulldown.
I start with pull ups, and once I can't do any, i use the lat pull down machine
Bitches be like
>if i can do my own weight i can do a pull up
Based thread op
OP is right as always
>never feels these when doing them
>next day entire back is raped
Too damn true
The SARMS goblin fears the pull up
It's two different exercises. Pull ups are no.1 but I like them for drop sets sometimes
Pull ups are nice but you really to graduate to weighted pull ups once you can do like 10 clean reps of regular pull ups
why
It's one part of a program with variety you psycho bastard.
>notoriously busy commercial gym
>actual line of people always waiting for a ploldown machine
>pull-up rig always abandoned
I love being a pull-up chad and I love laughing at normies smoothbrains who don't know what to do when their machinerinos are taken
It's weird that I never see them do pull-ups when all the big muscular dudes spend like a damn near an hour on the lat pulldown machine.
What's a good amount of pull-ups before I graduate into weighted ones?
>What's a good amount of pull-ups before I graduate into weighted ones?
The general consensus is 10, I started doing them when my 1 set max was like 17
How much weight did you add into the belt to start and how quickly did you add weight?
Started slow with +10lbs, got it up to 25lb quickly BUT had to drop them shortly after, the extra weight was throwing me off and I wasn't controlling negatives properly, kept coming down too hard and eventually something in my left arm got yoinked
I readded them a couple months ago, currently plateaued at 35x9
the pull up is and ego lift. theyre just not that good of an exercise
>nooooo you need to fetishize the meme exercise that doesnt really train any muscle in a good ROM
if you like em, do em. but if you want to be efficient you do chin ups and rows instead
>inb4 fatty
I can actually do 15 pull ups, just dont think they are that amazing
Fatty
cope
seethe and project (theyre really not that hard buddy)
dilate, they are inefficient and people only do them to tell others about how many pull ups they can do
>theyre just not that good of an exercise
They are.
>I can actually do 15 pull ups,
You can´t.
>Bodyweight exercise
>Ego Lift
WTF are you on about?
When somebody is talking about pull ups I assume they are talking about chin ups as well
well chin ups are highly based! they actually can take the lat through a full ROM
I weight 116kg and i can do 5x5 with 20kg vest on or 5x15 without. Pull ups so far have greatly increased my upper back strength.
>First time ever in the gym, dont know what even to do
>Ask this biggest dude there for advice
>He says to just do machines for a week or two get used to the gym and not get injured
>Shows me around and tells me how each machine works and what it does
>I point at a lat pulldown machine and ask about it
>He says "Nah, you dont need that one." And quickly ignores it.
Always struck me as odd, but i followed his advice and never used it.
I switched from pullups to lat pulldowns because bodyweight pullups were unironically too easy and I couldn't really load them.
I could do 3 pullups when I was 9 and once I hit 20 unbroken/with good form and got a lat pulldown machine I sorta moved on. I'll start doing them again though; used to do them a lot but I have to rest pause everything to get proper intensity which can be annoying for pullups.
Just hold a dumbbell with your feet
I hate pullups. Only people I see doing pullups are weird calisthenics dudes who jerk off to russians in adidas jumpers at home.
