people with clinical depression who exercise to manage it probably feel worse than average even if all their metrics for quality of life are higher than average

One of the worst things is i go running with several male friends and have experienced serotnin syndrome to the point my doctor had to lower my SSRI to one every 4 days due to how much was in my system and the none.
I have never felt good once doing cardio but my friends always feel energized and happy.

I can make more money, accomplish more, and frick two women in one night (happened once only) but i feel the same as if i had not done anything.

But if i remain doing nothing then i will begin feeling a deeper sadness into apathy.

Sucks but that is how it is.

You’re on immensely potent neurotransmitter modifying drugs. Nothing you say about mental health matters. Sorry.

Maybe I am, but what difference would it make if I weren't? If I were always happy and smiling and all peppy and chipper, that's not going to magically convince a girl to like me.

I don't know, man. I've been feeling down lately. Alone, friendless, lethargic. Haven't worked out in 8 days, got a pile of work left that I'm going through very slowly and taking breaks every 30 minutes.
I'm definitely burned out. In a way, fitness contributes to this. Extra sleep time needs, extra fatigue, being neurotic about diet and taking 60-90 minutes daily to work out really build up in the long run. But then again, if I didn't I'd have true reasons to be depressed, like being ugly, out of shape, no libido, no gf. I'll take being burned out of a good life than being depressed over a shit one any day.

My advice is if being fit is truly hurting your happiness, dial it back. Lowering frequency a little bit will be enough to maintain all your gains while you get in a better headspace.

I was overtraining for a while and after a couple months of pulling back I had the same physique but felt so much less run down and more motivated again. Just don’t fully stop.

Just go watch the first few Rocky movies when you don't want to exercise and call it a day, instead of spending most of your free time on social media.

The more I do cardio outside(cycling), and less I visit degenerate places the happier I am.
Yes, that's as a "loser" to most normies too.
If you train too hard and your joints are constantly inflamed+fatigued dial it back. Even 1 week and you will make big PR's

studies like this dont work anymore. zoomers will self-report/self-diagnose whatever is cool at that time. a few years ago everyone was "addicted" to lean (they sipped it once at a party). then everyone was a hardcore anime fan (they watched AoT, and maybe even JJK). of course mental illness is noy exempt. everyone is so totally depressed (they feel down once a week) and shut-in (they missed out on one party last month). not to mention everyone is autsitic now (because they once did a goofy dance to some music and filmed it for tiktok #imsoautistic)
if there really were as many depressed homosexuals as everyone says, then half the population would have already commit suucide. depression is no joke, it's not the same as being le sad every once in a while. it is a literal physiological dysfunction where your brain stops producing dopamine and seratonin in situations it used to.
