Zero Calorie Sweetener Causing heart attacks

>“If your blood level of erythritol was in the top 25% compared to the bottom 25%, there was about a two-fold higher risk for heart attack and stroke. It’s on par with the strongest of cardiac risk factors, like diabetes,” Hazen said.

Protein bars I like had this as a man ingredient too, welp

Lots of things can't really be explained. Lithium for bipolar, for example

They dig into thrombosis formation as a possible causal mechanism, but agree this paper has issues. Haven't read the full article but:
Why do Q2-Q3 appear to have basically null result? Is there a huge increase in consumption for Q4 group or a clinically relevant dose? Can't see the cutoffs on a first pass.
If I'm reading this, this is a cohort study with subgroup analysis, but no adjustment for confounders??? I can't find mention of confounders or covariates except for this line:
      >Another limitation of our clinical observational studies is that by design, these studies can only show association and not causation. We also recognize the possibility of unmodelled confounding (for example, diet) that may have (directly or indirectly) impacted our results by factors that are not included in our models.
uhhhhh, that's a huge fricking issue for any causal interpretation of the use of sweeteners. It was mentioned in the linked article that erythritol was associated with keto-oriented products, diet is a huge potential confounder and not including it in your model is downright criminal.

Why can't Ameritards just use reasonable, low to moderate ammounts of sugar, instead of trying to come up with this type of shitty products?

To confirm the findings, Hazen’s team tested another batch of blood samples from over 2,100 people in the United States and an additional 833 samples gathered by colleagues in Europe through 2018. About three-quarters of the participants in all three populations had coronary disease or high blood pressure, and about a fifth had diabetes, Hazen said. Over half were male and in their 60s and 70s.

No shit anon, this was an accidental finding. They were looking at the blood of people with heart disease + stroke history to see if they had anything in their blood that wasn't usually found in the blood of healthy people.

erythritol is not found in diet soda, it's found in stevia sweeteners and monkfruit sweeteners mostly.

since i know u morons might not get it, it's because people of a low socioeconomic class (poor and stupid people) tend to drink more diet soda, and they also tend to be unhealthy because of other reasons, like overeating

Horse shit I've drank like 4 monsters a day, which has erythritol as a sweetener. I'm not saying it's good but increase in heart attacks is from clot shot and they're desperate to blame anything else, erythritol has been around for a long time.

there are any number of possible other known factors that could be responsible for rising heart problems that doesn't invalidate the possibility of this as yet one more
to the extent that most people have had the vax the study likely self controls for it
