i had outmeal for breakfast, a few smoothies for lunch, and chipotle for dinner
will probably round it out with some fresh bread and olive oil before bed
Start making sourdough. It's kind of a hassle which is why I don't do it anymore, but if you're a NEET you can handle it. Otherwise, bake in a cast iron skillet or Dutch oven for texture. Bonus points if you put a little pan full of water into the oven alongside it; the steam will make your bread more crusty.
For better flavor, my favorite thing is roasted sesame seeds. Make sure you get the roasted ones or they'll be so subtle you can barely taste them (like a hamburger bun). Go to an Asian store to buy them because if you find them at a regular grocery they'll charge you out the ass. Adds a slight nuttiness. Just throw a handful on after you paint on your egg white or milk and before you throw it into the oven.
this is a good beginner recipe https://tasteofartisan.com/french-baguette-recipe
stretch and fold some dough in a bowl, cover and leave in the fridge
extra stuff: autolyse, 2 day ferment, pre-shaping
when you get the hang of this and get a feel for high moisture low moisture, you can buy a giant bag of vital wheat gluten and start baking low carb bread
Bread is not off-limits in a general low-carb diet. You just can't have too much of it. I'm fine with having a restricted intake of bread. I want to avoid all that highly processed garbage.
Bread is overrated. I've been eating a carnivore-ish diet for almost 2 years, and every time I try some high-quality sourdough, it does absolutely nothing for me. It doesn't taste particularly appealing and it doesn't give me energy. If anything, it saps my energy compared to my usual diet. Fruit, meat, raw dairy, and honey are just better in every way.
it's difficult to find a flour without any added iron here, i know whole wheat flours aren't fortified with iron but man i still have trouble kneading them
I feel bad for myself because I made great homemade bread in a cast iron Dutch oven. What little bread can manage on a cut is usually reserved for pizza or burgers on Friday. I was literally fantasizing about having a tuna sub earlier.
i am basically cutting on wheat but i'll need to give it up at the end because bloating. keep garlic bread in fridge to increase resistant starch. white kidney bean extract on bulksupplements. biggest thing that'll save you is strict OMAD though
Tried it before lost too much muscle. I do not retain muscle well on IF/omad well if it's longer than a week. I do in the in mid body fat ranges like 15-18% but I absolutely wither on omad below there. I think once the metabolic availability of body fat starts to go down you have to tweak for more regular protein consumption.

Kek, the morons touting OMAD/IF etc are all fat fricks with binge eating disorders, and you let them meme you into this shit?
touting not stuffing your face all day
Good job outing yourself as a fat, undisciplined frick by thinking the only alternative to fasting is binge-eating.
Spreading your protein out over several meals a day is optimal.
Seethe harder, fatty.
I've tried it on multiple occasions in diffent bodyfat ranges. This was really early into it being a meme like 2014ish. I don't hate it or think it's useless I just got better at recognizing where it's not useful. But yeah most of diet advice and fasting advocacy is only really applicable to the obese and overweight category but they try to pass it off as some cure-all that will work for everyone as if they have anything in common with someone who's never been over 18% body fat lifts 3 days a week and does endurance sports.
>bread tastes literally like nothing and feels like a cheap imitation of meat >the amount of oatmeal I have to eat in order to not be hungry used to make me sleepy after breakfast, which is abnormal >everytime I load on carbs my poop starts to look like ice cream
No, thanks, I'd rather only have some steak, and a cucumber for dessert.
>bread >imitation of meat
this is the best compliment you can give to wheat

Bread makes my shits awful, I swell, look unhealthy and gain the equivalent of 5-10% bodyfat overnight. I am a porridge and potato man now, which is a shame as I am a man of simple tastes so simple good bread + butter . At least my body rebelling against neolithic farmcel food is a larp I can enjoy.
if by "low-carbtards" you mean the typical "doesn't eat junk food and that upsets my vegan sensibilities for some reason" person, then nah, i'm kinda jelly actually
if you mean someone who actually lives primarily on bacon, coconut oil, butter, avocado, weird low-carb concoctions with fiber, etc. then yeah. that's not a good look and i feel sorry for them
low carbtard here, im eatin a pizza baked with vital wheat gluten. also if you're good at baking, you can make even 1/4cup of flour go a long way
digits and op gets struck by lightning and dies horribly
Ketolards fails once again
Dubs and ketoschizos get cvd and die before 50

(you won't)
Anyone got any recommendations to improve bread quality? I’m already running with:
>500g flour
>380ml warm water
>1tsp salt
>1tsp yeast
Rising for 4 hours to overnight. Baking at 450 on cornmeal. However I want to make it more rustic, textured, or flavoured

Add 30g butter and bake it in a dutch oven, take the lid off half way through
Try baking with steam too

most bread is fortified slop

i eat no carb most days and have some sourdough on the weekends

Yup he's a larper and OP is a larper and they should be killed for a better IST they're mentally ill gays anonymity might be bad sometimes
Lmao no. Why would I larp about eating a certain diet? gay.
post your homemade bread, LARPgay.

This site is so frickin dead.
Idk about bread but 2 cups rolled oats an hour before lifting make my training far more productive.
i was squat and oats for years but learning the truth about oats i can't even look at them anymore let alone eat them.
Even when you're on zero or low carb, refeed with non-goyslop made bread is good.
I made my bread with my homemade olive oil too.
t.wopt4rd with 1500 olive trees in his country estate
I would live on bread alone if I could
you could live on wheat (all purpose + vital gluten), eggs and either lentils or l-lysine supp
and electrolytes, ascorbic acid

someone like this is likely to have independently discovered OMAD, like me
i'm not against OMAD+whey, i'm experimenting with something similar. i also think wheat can slow the digestion of large protein meals

Why do ~~*they*~~ fear bread so much ?
bread is a delivery system (bromide, sneeds, glyphosate, etc.) and they create the opposition to pose as the saviors but don't tell you it's a fraud

you're 100% right lmao
I'm not on a low carb diet and I don't eat bread.
homemade bread is god tier. my wife makes it for me and we dip it in the chicken stew i cook for dinner. frick i want some rn

the vegan vs keto paradigm is just autistic lolcows at war with each other
tdeecalculator.net says
Lower Carb (40/40/20)
Moderate Carb (30/35/35)
Higher Carb (30/20/50)
which is which (F/P/C) or (P/F/C)?
P/F/C
so it's saying protein makes up for carbs
