I am cursed with being a light sleeper and not falling asleep easily. I also wake up twice a night minimum and take around 15-20 minutes to go back to sleep. I rarely feel like I got a good night's rest with the exception of physically intense days where I end up exhausted. This has always been annoying but recently it's started being a problem with some changes in my environment, even wearing earplugs. I'm honestly I'm jealous of people who sleep like a log and fall right back to sleep after 30 seconds.
I've seen and tried the most common "lifestyle" tips, also obviously not a slob and I am physically active. Is there anything left to try ? Supplements, particular food, audio therapy, esoteric knowledge ?
Put your phone on the other side of the room. Get a fan or some sort of white noise.
>Put your phone on the other side of the room
You mean something like EM sensitivity ?
I have read some articles recommending white noise, maybe I will try it.
>You mean something like EM sensitivity ?
I have no idea what the shit is. You should put your phone on the other side of the room so you aren't looking at it while you're in bed.
Another thing I forgot to add: Get in bed 20 minutes before you want to fall asleep and read a book.
Not looking at your phone when you're trying to sleep sounds so obvious I didn't think it needed saying so I assumed you were talking about something else.
The average age of this board is probably like 15. You'd be surprised.
I bet it's closer to 34
I fricking hope so, I just turned 36 in August. Frick getting old, but if I have to we may as well all get old together bros.
is he okay?
Okay? He's thriving. This is a what a man in his prime looks like according to most people on this board. Unfortunately dumb prostitutes with their impossibly high standards won't even give him the time of day.
What's your routine like? Are you even tired when you go to bed? Best recipe for a nice night of sleep is having an exhaustive and productive day, and you know that.
If you are already physically active, maybe you need some intellectual work as well. Like studying, learning a new language etc...
Only go to your bed when you are tired, but if your daily routine is not productive, you never will be tired.
I hadn't thought about having a productive/stimulating day, only the being physically active aspect, maybe that is what is missing. Routine is nothing special, work 8:00-16:00, gym 16:30-17:30, free time 20:00-23:00 then bed and wake up at 7:00
try keto

Very easy, let me help you brother.
1. Make sure you can breathe properly through the nose, if not, fix it.
2. Make your room is cold, it's better if its a little too cold than a little too warm.
3. If it's noisy in your environment, get some good earplugs.
4. Black out your windows
5. Pop Magnesium and Melatonin in the evening.
Boom, perfect sleep here we come
Second what this guy says, but i'd I go one step further
6. add an air filter to ensure clean air and good circulation
7. Get a mattress that costs at least $3,500 (avoid beautyrest black, that line is trash) + luxury pillows. Having a nice mattress and nice pillows is an absolute game changer.
Tell me you do all this and still don't sleep good i'll sock this shit out of you
gaslight yourself. your sleeping problem is all in your head
Sleep tight steeler
Aswaghanda + magnesium (one of each in the evening) seems to work well for me.
Sometimes I add zinc as well
that photo always makes me chuckle, partly because i see my old self, partly because im sure hes gonna look back on those memories with a fondness and equal disdain.
>or hes dead by now
i know this feel. i was this guy for about a year and a half after i graduated from college and while i'm glad i'm not that person anymore, there are times when i look back on it fondly because i was just a piece of shit kid who lived in his parents' house and got stoned every day with my friends and ate taco bell because i could get away with it. if i turned back into that guy today in my mid-30's, i would literally lose everything.
I was in the same boat as you my entire life. The only thing that fixed it was simply going to bed at the exact time every day, and waking up at the same time every day, even on weekends.
The human body craves schedule.
I have the same fan, wtf.
How do people live like the pic
it's the result of a series of poor choices and succumbing to bad habits, slowly over time. he didn't decide one day that this is what he would be like, instead it snuck up on him gradually.
Quit coffee.
Sounds like your cortisol is too high. Try taking ashwaganda for about three months and be amazed at the sleep you get.
Only take it for three months or shit can go wrong.
