              one rep does not grant you freedom to say you bench 2pl8. I also doubt that you can even do one rep, you do not look good try harder for much longer

                I disagree. I think people shouldnt say they lift X until you can do a working set at least imo. I'd feel like a fraud if I didn't explicitly state I meant a 1rm. Don't play the game of misrepresenting yourself to boost your ego. I mean it's your life but 5 reps at 2pl8 is not at all out of the realm of possibility with not even that much hard work. Yes it's work, no it's not effortless. Hold yourself to a higher standard

                I did triples at 2pl8 today with more in the tank, I'm not him. I'm aiming for 2.5pl8 within Christmas.

                So anything between 2 and 30 reps? This is why a 1RM is the default when someone states "I lift x", there's no ambiguity. If you can do 2pl8 for 5, you are approaching 2.5pl8 for a single.
                What matters more is how the rep is executed.

                Good job keep at it bro. I feel there is ambiguity because 1rms encourage people to ego lift and do shitty 1rms chasing numbers. T b h it doesn't really matter it's not hard to say 2pl8 for a single or 2pl8 for 5. not a hill id die on but I think it's good to be clear about what you can do. Like I said looking at the other guy and what he commented I was thinking there's no frickin way he benches 2pl8 for sets
