will make it worse kek
My squat strength went through the roof after I started doing abductions
swimming frog style
stretching
streetfights (you'll get your ass kicked)
Figure 4, happy baby and butterfly stretch
Same. I can make it go away but it always returns a while later.
I used to roll mine out with a lacrosse ball which worked ok but then I got a massage gun. Holy shit did that sort me out. Instant relief on demand and eventually flare ups started becoming fewer and more far between.
>2nd tool from the left
Is that a fricking prostate massager?
lol, nta but I actually tried it on me, I could feel it on my prostate but it was a lil bit too short, luckily, I have a 3d printer
Buy the theragun pro, I bought these $70 Amazon ones and they're 20% of the quality of the real deal. One of the best things I've ever bought, can beat the shit out of my muscles with it.
do clams
flexed hip abduction, ezpz
Foam roller.
will make it worse.
have an MRI to see if you have piriformis or bulging disc. The symptons are the same but it requires a very different fix.
Give the ol' hams a good stretch every day.
get one of those ergonomic chairs that have you sit in a suspended kneeling position instead of on your bum, that'll help fix your dead ass syndrome, dead ass
>Injure myself from deadlifting
>Then ohp'ing days later
>Start seeing physio
>Piriformis Syndrome
>Make the problem worse with stiff legged deadlifts
>Then practising moderate weight squatting fricks my back
>Then my lower back gives out suddenly at home
>Getting an MRI because my SI Joint or disc probably herniated
>Haven't been able to live or train properly in 7 months
Sad.
>not lift or deadlift for 6+ years
>decide to start lifting again
>I pulled 4pl for reps at the peak of my previous lifting
>decide yeah I can just start at somewhere between 2pl and 3pl for reps on the first day
>immediately get pain in this region after 2 sessions, stop deadlifting
I then didn't for like 3 years.
Same thing with squats, had an issue with left knee which returned.
Now I started lifting again, and this time I started at lmao0.5pl for both squats and high rep RDL's.
Back at 2pl+ for both (just started pulling on the floor) after 3 months of gradually adding weight even though it was far from challenging. No pain, no issues. You have to gradually build up into these lifts, can't go heavy from day 1, your muscles and CNS might be able to lift the weight but everything else is underdeveloped and needs to be conditioned.
piriformis syndrome is a meme diagnosis. and the SI joint barely moves. most injuries can be dealt with by just easing off things for a bit and building back up. don't let physios/chiros etc israelite you
he's also a hack
Rippetoe has discussions on this, but basically you need to get someone strong to mash and massage the shit out of. Manually. Yes, this means a bro kneading your ass cheek.
Piriformis syndrome is actually rare and over prescribes by physio's and chiropractors who don't have access to MRI. 90% of the time the main you're feeling in that area is from a herniated disc in your lower spine pinching on your sciatic nerve.
T. Was doing RDL for high reps, developed pain in my right glute, internet, chiro said it was piriformis and to roll it and do stretches where I pull my knee to my face. This actually made it worse, developed into radiating pain in my leg and spasms in my lower back. My wife had to put socks on for me.
Finally got an MRI that showed herniated disk. Thousands of cobras and cat cows and a few months later i was fine.
I am the above poster, so you are saying I slipped a disc after 2 times deadlifting, stopped doing it then the disc slipped back lmao? I only had pain doing the lift, not during everyday stuff.
you stupid Black person the herniation can appear when placed under load since you probably dont properly brace your core or activate your almonds you fricking Black person
I do, I have never had pain in my lower back or spine. Tweaked just about everything else except my back. I brace when picking my gym bag lmao.
You said the pain in the glutes is from a slipped disc, which can be possible but I find strange when I never had any back issues. So why the instant hostility?
because he's a manchild that thinks he knows best and gets triggered the moment he thinks someone disagrees, not exactly the most trustworthy source
its because i misread and was needing a shit.
instead of explaining just check out squat university, no cap he is based
>no cap he is based
on god bro, bet
>no cap he is based
Come back when you're older than 14
I would note though, that just because you have sciatica from your lower back does not mean you do not also have a piriformis issue.
>chiro
Found your problem
>MRI
MRIs aren't magical mind. They're useful if your symptoms actually fit in the picture of a radiculopathy and you need a target for invasive management, but otherwise you can take an MRI of anyone (even pain free) and find all kinds of shit to falsely attribute symptoms too
yup, I forgot the numbers but a common saying is that 80% of people with bulging disc MRIs don't have symptoms, and 80% of symptomatic people don't have bulging disc MRIs - it's not that great a predictor in *most* cases
the injury that brought me multi-year SI area pain (and radiating pain too) was when I witnessed how rudimentary our medical understanding is in that whole area
