I’ve been in the gym for a year and a half and if I don’t have doms the next day I feel like I wasted my workout.
I know the science shows that you don’t technically need doms to grow, but it is nice having that reassurance that the workout was good.
Yeah I fricked up my back doing deadlifts with moronic form and these are my main leg exercise rifght now. Leg extension and leg press machines are good too if done in a very controlled manner.
I started incorporating myo reps into my workouts. I did BSS like this yesterday. Started with the right leg and did a set until failure and then did another 5 short sets. Then did it with my left leg too. The pump was amazing but I think the weight I used was a little light. Will try going heavier next time
do they feel like absolute hell for anybody else? like your muscles could do another 10 reps but your brain just wants out?
I'm also on the brink of death when I finish them.
Pick up leg, place behind you on bench. One singular hop might be necessary to add distance. Don't be a moron and you won't have to hop around like one.

I do these 3x8 and somehow it's the hardest cardio I've ever done. My heart is always beating out of my chest at the end and I need to sit down.

Generally if you're closer you're hitting your quads more and if you're further away, it hits your hams and glutes more.

Glute DOMS are the best. Wheb I stretch with glute DOMS I get horny. No homo.
Does anyone else find this way harder with dumbbells? They swing around and disturb my balance. A barbell makes balancing effortless.
Try placing the dumbbells more forward on the sides of your working leg rather than the torso like in OP's pic.

Free barbell in my apartment gym. I recently joined a real gym, but sometimes there are no bars available and I have to use dumbbells instead.
