They can't stop it. Whatever they do, the adblocking software will be updated to get around it. They constantly try to shutdown apps like Newpipe from using all their data and Newpipe is updated and works again within 15 minutes. Newpipe blocks ads too btw but you don't even need newpipe unless you're on a mobile.
They will encode the ads into the videos themselves in ways where even if you use AI to censor it you ruin your viewing experience; then everyone will go to some other platform
They can't do that because then they couldn't offer premium without ads anymore unless they stored multiple versions of each video, which would be far too expensive. And they would have to reencode the video every time the ad changes; they don't have nearly enough computational power to do that to the billions of monetized videos regularly.
