I can tell you first hand after using it for a few years you get a small hole in your gums where you usually put your snus. I'd also get bleeding now and then in the beginning. Dentists can definitely tell

They're more addictive. It's like opium (like actual opium not heroin or opioids) it takes a while to get addicted to the slow buzz but once it's got it's hooks in you it's much harder to get off than cigs. You eventually just wind up doing it all day.

Jesus Christ (PBUH) a whole tub of zyn in a day?
you get 1mg nicotine throughput and absorbtion from a 10mg cigarette.
Even if you smoke a pack a day you're only getting 12-20mg nicotine MAX.
the throughput of zyn is nearly 100% a full tub of 6mg zyn is fricking like 75mg of nic.

Very hard to stop, can cost a lot in the long run. Other than that the only real drawback not related to the nicotine is its effect on dental health, and maybe a small cancer risk but much less than cigs. Pretty much everyone and their mom uses snus in Sweden

I got a pack of these, is this better or worse than vaping?

      Anonymous

as a smoker/vaper it's probably a bit better. You're not fricking your lungs so it won't impact cardio, and if you plan on quitting, you only have the actual addiction to kick, not the addiction AND a habit. I quit smoking for a few years, and chantix made the addiction symptoms nonexistent, but what was tough was getting over the habit of smoking after meals, with my morning coffee, etc

The downside is that because these things are so lowkey, and you can pop one in anytime, it's easier to slip into over indulging

  25. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

Nicotine doesn't cause cancer morons. There are literally zero health risks of nicotine pouches outside of nausea. So what if you're addicted? It's not like tobacco or hard drugs where the substance is actively harming you.

i used them to get off smoking, and they worked incredibly well
too well really, because now I have a pouch in at least 12 of my 16 waking hours

another problem with them is that, like OP said, they're far superior to cigarettes. with the only known negatives being an increased heart rate and some overall circulation issues
at least with smoking there were a lot of negatives, like smell, cost, taste, cancer, etc, so there was always the thought "maybe I should quit..." in the back of your mind.
but with pouches, there's just no nudges to quit. why quit something this good?

  27. 9 months ago
    Anonymous

they are good for quitting smoking. I tried vaping but it's somehow gayer and lungs didn't feel great after awhile. Easy to get addicted, basically have one in all day. Doesn't hurt my lip like chewing did. Can do it on the plane or at work and no one knows which is cool. Overall I think it's a good nicotine delivery vehicle

  28. 9 months ago

    >what’s the catch?
