I keep my foot flat against the bench because it gives me greater ROM. Just asked out of curiosity.
Chipping in for the other side, propping myself up on my toes gives me far more stability on the loaded leg. I find I tend to sway/wobble towards the side near the end of the set as I get fatigued if I don't anchor myself down well.
Not sure if it's a stability issue or something but whatever, still mad pumps.

i've found that maintaining eye discipline helps with balancing a lot, maybe try focusing on that
just pick a spot across the room and keep your eyes on it during the exercise
