It was a way to filter already accomplished lifters on drugs.
And even then there's also deloads, manipulation of volume/intensity and tapering. You think they ran their athletes against the brick wall up until the day of competition?
This was made for already strong athletes on drugs to peak their performance in the Olympic lifts. Unless you are doing exactly that, it's a waste of time.

Ivansisters, not like this!!
His best lift is his deadlift. He's built for squats (long torso, short femurs) and is still mediocre at them. For someone who has trained 4+ years consistently he is weak, especially when you consider his starting point for that style of training was nearing intermediate levels.
guy's a nurse, so probably not much sleep working shifts. Personally I think he looks good for being a dad of 3 kids, some people here place too much importance on physique.
It all depends on goals, if he wanted to look jacked he would probably be there already, but his squat autism makes him happy so who can say what's right?
It's not the squats, it's the subhuman s*rb genes
It's not about the numbers or the muscles, it's about the DAAAAYZ
>1400+ days
It's some sort of weird performance art, right? There can be no other purpose at this point.
Have there been no days where he didn't have access to weights? Was he not on vacation at some point without a gym?
whats a vacation?
Ivan is a slav, they don't have a vacation
>t. slav
Don't remember if he went on vacation but there were days where he just squats the bar or bodyweight
"everyday" is an adjective; he means "every day".
it's almost like strength training and bodybuilding are two distinctly different things
Yeah. But his squat max hasn't progressed in 2 and a half years. Sad!
It's almost like you need recovery time to build strength and muscle and doing the same exercise every day for years with no breaks is moronic.
>what's Bulgarian method
A program for handpicked 1% elite athletes blasted with drugs
another way to say a stupid method
bulgarians aren't exactly known for their brains

Not really
if he added even a minimal amount of upper body work, he'd probably look a thousand times better
slav [balkanoid] genetics
Anyone know what Ivans diet/sleep is like? Hard to believe that he looks like that training as consistently as he does.

does he deload, at least?
Does he have autism? He could have squatted once a week and made better progress this whole time.
Restchads, we can't stop winning!
