Balance probably.
what?
that's what your core is used for
why does this homie have such huge lats i dont get it
Your back is part of your core.
>says something stupid
>haha yeah it's just part of it
Why don't you people ever research stuff instead of saying stupid shit?
Everything below your ribcage and above your pelvis and then some is considered your core
lol you googled it to argue semantics even though no one refers to lats as their core ever here
just sit down kid
Nta but you're the dumb moron who started arguing semantics and were in the wrong. He said you use the lats for balancing you Black person
and i said that's the core's job
if lats were used to balance then every soccer player would have huge lats but it's not the case
>and i said that's the core's job
Yes, and anon pointed out, the lats are part of the core, you moron.
they're really not
by the minor-core definition your traps are also part of your core lol. no one says your traps are part of it either
good job samegayging using your phone to show how butthurt you are though
Nobody cares about your personal definition of "core" and it doesn't change the biomechanical fact that stronger lats will be advantageous for balance.
then tell me why soccer players dont spam the frick out of pullups to get better "balance" then
maybe you should coach them to tell them about this great discovery?
moronic premise. It's like saying if stronger legs improve running performance, why don't runners all have 800lb squats?
The core job isn't balance, is stabilization of the spine to prevent rotation and side deviations during high intensity moves like sprinting.
Lats and shoulders move you arms and the arm swing during sprints is what creates balance, even when you walk you lightly swing your opposite arm in synchrony with your legs because when you stand on one leg your body wants to shift your weight to the standing leg and the arm swing creates counter weight to make you move in a straight line.
I know you don't play sports but the whole body functions as a unit during sports so lats are necessary for the arm swing wich is what creates balance during a sprint.
Inb4 you argue more semantics, other anons aren't wrong about lats being part of the core or aiding balance but you most certainly are wrong about arguing that they aren't part of the core and don't help with balance specially when you don't even know how balance in the human body works.
balance is stabilization
and by your logic every muscle in the human body is part of the core
you could make the same argument with fricking calves and dwell into the anatomy of it with some snarky "hehe i know you dont play sports but they're important" bs too
but yeah im the moron even though i posted someone with overdeveloped lats wondering why he would need them to be overdeveloped, this is the missing link in this conversation
bro just take the L
>balance is stabilization
No moron, balance is when you stand still, stability is when you are in movement, the difference is that you need more muscles working when you are in movement.
>and by your logic every muscle in the human body is part of the core
Never said that you single digit iq moron, my point is to point the functions of muscles.
>you could make the same argument with fricking calves and dwell into the anatomy of it with some snarky "hehe i know you dont play sports but they're important" bs too
That's called kinetic chain, as a matter of fact the entire posterior chain wich happens to include the lats and core work more during sports.
>but yeah im the moron even though i posted someone with overdeveloped lats wondering why he would need them to be overdeveloped, this is the missing link in this conversation
And i answered that question but you keep barking at the wrong tree.
>Never said that you single digit iq moron
you implied it
brb doing toe curls because it balanc- no sorry STABILIZES the whole unit of the body playing sports so it's part of the core yep
No moron you assumed it because you are moronic.
Thats a pull up spammer physique
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_(association_football)
this doesnt answer anything
You're a moron
Increased air drag when flexing, allows for tighter maneuvers and quick readjusting at high speeds also provides additional directional gliding when air prone
Extra upper body mass is advantageous for muscling past defenders/winning headers, and he'd probably rather it was in his lats than his stomach.
He said he spammed pull ups because people called him skinny
okay thanks that makes sense
i dont know anything about soccer and that image was really bugging me
What's the redpill on spamming pullups, pushups, and biking and nothing else
Graceful swan dives to the grass in order to get a free kick
Having a good core strengh is useful as a central back defensive players. CR7 was just a chad
Nothing really. Ronaldo just has an autistic devotion to training
>Patrice Evra has told told fellow pundits that if you are invited over to Cristiano Ronaldo's house, you should say no.
>"He said, 'Patrice, come over after training.' I went. You know I was really tired, [and] at the table there was only salad and plain white chicken so I was like, okay - and water - not any juice," Evra said. "And we started eating and I was thinking some big meat would be coming after that but there was nothing."
>"He just finished and he stood up and he started playing with a ball, doing some skills and he said, 'Let's do some two-touch'."
Kobe was like this too. His response when asked about his favorite part of being the number 1 NBA player in the world: "waking up at 5am and training for 4 hours"
Why have I seen this exact same story posted here so many times? I don't get it. Did this actually happen or is it a meme
There's an identical "boring dinner then practice in the backyard" story about Tom Brady as well
i wonder what crazy things they did that night
>at the table there was only salad and plain white chicken
does he browse IST
>why lats in soccer
To look better in publicity photos.
Yeah a good 70% of this dude's income and personal lifestyle is dependent on his looks alone
Dyel
balance in mid air?
Ronaldo's leaping ability is incredible.
It's pretty credible if you ask me. Nothing compared to the GOAT (messi) and honestly pretty close to Neymar
Neither one of those manlets can jump as high
I only seen webms of Ronaldo jumping, I don't follow the sport, post webms of messi and neymar jumping for comparation.
holy shit i don't watch soccer but that is legit impressive
the people in this thread are fricking dense idiots.
the lats are for throwing the ball when it goes out of bounds you morons.
you should all fricking rope
>Body parts only have one function
>Reddit spacing
Checks out.
>types like a redditor
>accuses other people of reddit spacing even though no one mentioned it before
very suspicious behavior
Kek Black folk mad
(you) are fricking moron
>explaining the function of the lats that are in fact part of your core means that every other muscle is part of your core.
Lol.
Btw even when standing still the core alone isn't the only thing working for balance, hope this isn't confusing.
my toes are working to keep me in balance too
maybe understanding that there's a difference between main core muscles which most people refer to as core and "minor-core" muscles is key here
hope this isn't confusing
"Part of" doesn't mean no difference.
"Minor" doesn't mean not part of.
brb going to train core with calf raises and pullups
>doesnt know pull ups work the core pretty good
guess you have shit form swinging all over
I respect Ronaldo's hustle but also Messi's napping ability.
>irrelevant time wasting question
To store siiiiiiuuuu energy.
