because hes blowing up really fast and it makes them feel like theyre getting left behind
he also has to put way less effort into his videos since theyre just simple chill vlogs, meanwhile fitness morons have to come up with the 47th way to hit biceps video
The Virgin Fitness Influencer >spends hours upon hours editing 30 second clips >used clickbait and eye catches to pull in viewers >”STOP doing bicep exercises like THIS” >so insecure he needs scientific studies to back up his claims >mid-tier physique >”make sure to use my code to get 10% off your order” >video equipment costs 1000s of dollars >constantly trying to prove he’s a natty >”I wasn’t going to do a video on this. But this other influencer keeps calling me out and I just want to clarify some things”
Chad bodybuilding competitor >couldn’t be bothered to spend more than 15 minutes editing his blogs >just talks and acts like a normal person >doesn’t need to play a character or persona to be interesting >low effort videography, just a camera and a mic >gives no shits about clickbait or algorithm research, too busy at the gym >exercise selection consists of “idk man, just feels good on this muscle lmao” >uses tried and true methods to put on muscle. Just track your macros >open and honest about PED use >god tier physique
He sets a bad precedent for the industry overall
It used to be about faking natty and selling supplements to gullible people
Now Sam is single hardly turning the industry into "pop as much gear as possible and sell supplements to gullible people"
Essentially removing the curtain on the health aspect of fitness and exposing it for what it's really worth. Now the guys who claim natty, can't call Sam out because they are also on gear.
Kids now think taking gear is cool and you'll now see an increase in users across all ages
It won't be long before you hear about kids who look up to this guy dying from steroid use, if Sam doesn't die first (he will)
You could say this about 100% of all fitness related content, everywhere. Hell, even the scientific studies at this point are really just confirming what bodybuilders in the 60s and 70s already knew. Every magazine, book, youtuber, and tiktok/instagram fitness "guru" is repeating the same exact shit over and over and will continue to do so.
he doesn't have anything to talk about, its the same thing every time. i think people watch him because its predictable and formulaic like day time tv shows
This is youtube in a nutshell though, it's a rare occasion that I feel like I didn't completely waste my time after watching a video because they said NOTHING of worth in it
People are just so fricking bored they will watch anything at this point I guess
because he exposed that you can do basically anything and the roids will work, no need for fancy supplements or X training regimen
you got the roid? it's done
Couple of reasons,
His content for the most part is pretty basic. Simply videos has recorded on his phone and stitched together as a singular video. Compare this to other fitness "influencers" who pay a cameraman full time as well as an editor.
For the most part, what Sam promotes isn't the most effective (at least what sports science has told them) way to train nor is it safe and healthy in the long run.*
He's gotten very popular very quickly, this alone is enough to make any of his competition seethe.
*This is kind of the key to his success, the new generation of lifters only care about one thing, getting as big as possible as fast as possible regardless of consequences. Also he moves a lot of weight which looks very impressive on video to the layzoomie since they don't actually understand force curves and biomechanics
Looks like a baby cow
He is a bit too racist for my taste

Because they're old and have to latch onto younger people as naysayers to not enter straight up free-fall.
How does he even have anything to talk about anymore lol
At this point he must be just going in circles, macros preworkout carbs glycogen freaky pump etc

Every fitness youtuber recycles their content
because boomers fear getting dethroned.

He isn't hiding his gear use, and he's still popular.
He make greg douchette seethe so he's based in my book
