How much did you bench when you started? How long did it take you to realise you are doing something wrong? If you really worked out regularly its either that you dont eat enough protein or you T is super low. Protein problem is easy to fix. T problem means you have to start optimising it (supplements, nofap, cooling your balls or something idk, etc)
Well I was practically starving and a shut-in NEET for a few years when I started. My legs were really sore just walking for 30 minutes straight when I started.
What are you complaining then moron? When people say that they reached 100kg in 6 months, none of them start barely able to walk for 30mins. Keep working out, bulk up, optimise t if you want and you will be good
This, I am one of those that benched 100kg+ in less than 6 months.
Before I even joined a gym and benched for the first time, I could do 15+ pullups and 25+ dips with body weight. I was in pretty great shape by all normie standards.
You are doing great OP, keep going. If it stagnates then try out different programming, and make sure you get enough food and sleep too.
Meant to reply to this post.
No I'm not skinny fat I was really underweight when I started.
Just asking cause we're about the same height and weight. I am slightly shorter (178cm) and heavier (80kg), and not even really lean anymore.
Well don't listen to the nay-sayers man. You're starting from a way lower point and you've already achieved lifts over 300% from where you started (assuming kgs). Keep on going my man, and remember that proper dieting is half of the battle. Get your protein and get those gains anon, I believe in you.

Wow, thanks anons. I guess I hadn't really taken my starting point into account. But I was an extremely sedentary, inactive teenager and I wanted it to change badly. I am happy with the progress but I was unsure if there was something wrong with me given how everyone on this board is lifting skyscrapers after their first year. >none of them start barely able to walk for 30mins
I severely underestimated how truly inactive I was compared to the general population. I was 19 and spent all day in the very same bedroom from morning to night. It was surreal how much I atrophied considering I could barely walk.

Don't believe e-stats and don't believe fatasses
I too started from bar only and not having been able to do a single push-up in years to 52kg and 10 ring push-ups in a year. So long as you keep pushing you'll keep progressing

So you went from 20 to 65. Thats not that bad. You sound like a skelly then. Whats your height and weight. Do you eat enough protein(1.5-2g protein per every kg of your weight)? Give us other details like your routine
Are you me, OP?
I was also a 7 year shut in NEET, could barely walk for 10 minutes without feeling like absolutely shit.
I'm only lifting for 2 months and can only bench 20kg (10kg on each side) not sure if I'm supposed to count the bar or not.
Funny enough my Deadlift is pretty high, almost at 2 plates already, i feel like my bench is weak due to my wrists being fricked from years of gaming.
gotta eat more. i went from 40kg to 60kg in my first 6 months eating at a 1000kcal deficit. after that i got to 2pl8 after another 6 months (eating 6,000 calories a day)
how much do you weigh? how tall are you? if youre short and skinny its a good lift, if tall and fat then its fricked. regardless just try to improve upon your current lift and dont listen to shitheads on IST. experience and time can teach you a lot
People literally start with 60kg bench first day in gym
Not everyone the average was for about 40kg as a standard most could manage, 60kg if you are athletic and so on is a good average starting point.
i benched 68 for 8x4 first day, but im not interested in maxes so i still dont know my max bench
no they dont what are you talking about
some like me do. I was doing pushups alot for a few months prior and weighted 86kg tho.
Just try to do better than what you did in the past.
Have you tried following a real program?

What are signs of low T? Also I could barely bench the bar when I started.
not being able to bench the bar

Should do racked carries with a kettlebell, they build up strength like you wouldn't believe.

Yup you are doomed to low T standard, sheesh. Better do your bloodwork at a doctor.

I'm 6 foot and 77kg and I eat 120g of protein a day. I do PPL.
Skinny fat?
No I'm not skinny fat I was really underweight when I started.
probably, i've been going for 3 months and i can bench 65kg for 12 reps
I could do that in a month. You should probably quit
ok fatty
Programming, sleep and diet isn't on point. Depends on your starting point of course.
height? weight?
Quit life? Yep. Do it.
People like you don't train properly, don't sleep enough, don't eat enough and wonder where the progress is.
work on form, experiment with programming, bulk and make sure you are getting enough protein
Are you me, OP?

Also, I was 5'6 60kg.
yes you do count the bar, you are lifting 40kg
I just lift and try to be better than past me.
No point in comparing myself to others when it won't bring me any closer to my goals.
>t.lmao1pl8 gay
Quitting is for homosexuals.

>eating at a 1000kcal deficit
you mean surplus?
>6000 calories a day
Jesus Christ how did you manage that
how much do you weigh? how tall are you? if youre short and skinny its a good lift, if tall and fat then its fricked. regardless just try to improve upon your current lift and dont listen to shitheads on IST. experience and time can teach you a lot
i can only bench 50kg but i won't quit until i'm no longer skelly or die trying
