I don't have any of the listed side effects from fin. My hairline has held up more than anything. I have diffuse thinning and only recently added minoxidil. I do minox topical and saw palmetto 500mg daily. Was doing minoxidil alone, didn't see any benefits after 6 months so I stopped for a while. Recently restarted, but this time including a multivitamin and saw palmetto.

Not him, but I added oral min to my routine a month ago and I've noticed a lot more facial hair. Some little hairs have also started growing along my hairline. I'm probably also going full werewolf mode because my beard is starting to grow over my cheek bones and I've noticed a bunch of new hairs around my eyebrows.
What are you experiences with minox here? I shaved my hair 1-2 months ago and as they grow back I can see that my scalp is clearly more visible on the front/top of my head than on the sides. I'm hopping on Minoxidil to stop it from worsening until I can get a dermatologist's opinion on the matter (and possibly getting fin at the end)
I've regrown a lot of hair with min, only my hairline is lagging on one temple, otherwise it's bueno. It's very slow for me, though, not a hyper responder.
How much time did it take for you to begin to see some changes? I'm reading lot of contradicting things on this. Some people say 2 months, other 6, sometimes even a year.
For me it was around the 6 - 8 month mark. Before min my scalp was showing on the top and crown areas, after those 6 - 8 months those places were almost back to normal, and now (after 1.5 year) the hair there is much thicker.
My progress is very slow, but I also don't have any side effects, so I'm more than happy with what I got.
The guys you see on reddit and other places that get crazy results in 2 - 4 months are hyper responders and they're not the norm. There's also guys that get results after more than a year.
Just take it slow and steady, go in with the expectation that you'll have to use it for a year or two to see solid results.
That's interesting. I'm hoping to be a high responder, especially since I'm starting it at a somewhat early stage (v-peak - visibly thinner hairs on top when cut short but no bald spot/no visible crown yet).
I have to use a foam propylen-free formula though, does it make a difference?

Not in terms of absorption, just make sure that the min you use is applied directly on your scalp, and not suspended in your hair.
I use an ethanol-based spray and it works pretty well.

Don't forget to use fin along with min, otherwise all the gains you'll get will go out the window. There's also stronger protocols, like dut + min or even using oral min, but for now you should just focus on fin + min.

I will look into fin as well but it's only available under dermatologists' prescriptions and where I live it takes several months before being able to see one. So I will be on minox alone for a little while. Thanks anon.

I don't have any of the listed side effects from fin. My hairline has held up more than anything. I have diffuse thinning and only recently added minoxidil. What are you experiences with minox here? I shaved my hair 1-2 months ago and as they grow back I can see that my scalp is clearly more visible on the front/top of my head than on the sides. For me it was around the 6 - 8 month mark. Before min my scalp was showing on the top and crown areas, after those 6 - 8 months those places were almost back to normal, and now (after 1.5 year) the hair there is much thicker.
My progress is very slow, but I also don't have any side effects, so I'm more than happy with what I got.
The guys you see on reddit and other places that get crazy results in 2 - 4 months are hyper responders and they're not the norm. There's also guys that get results after more than a year.
Just take it slow and steady, go in with the expectation that you'll have to use it for a year or two to see solid results.
