I workout three times a week only and sessions can last between 1 hour to 2 depending on what I'm doing. Volume days where you run 5x5 can take a long ass time, especially when your squats are approaching your 1RM. My longest workout this year was when I did 5x5 on squats followed up by 5x5 on overhead press followed by deadlifts.

When doing heavy squats (5 sets of 5 at 340lbs) my rest times can take 8 minutes between sets, to really ensure I'm as rested as possible. For Overhead press that reduces to 5 minutes. So 4 x 8 + 4 x 5 = 52 minutes spent on resting alone. Include setup time and warmups in ADDITION to the actual lifts, some workouts can take close to 2 hours. It's rare but it happens. Mine are usually 90 minutes at most

i would say i ate at maintenance calories for the majority of time and just lifted, kind of spinning my wheels at 65kg here
