Also my problem was biceps grew so much I got stretch marks. Look up bio oil. If you rub it in twice a day whilst the marks are still red you can almost completely get rid of the marks although it takes months. At your weight you will very likely need some surgery after you weight loss but good on you for acknowledging you have a problem. Remember once you get going on weight loss it gets much easier to maintain the habits once formed. So just start right now it will only get easier.

Depends how fast you do it. I was able to lose 70 in 3 months without any loose skin, so you should be good if you wanna speed through it a little. I do have stretch marks, though.

If you're 260, there's no way you'll have enough drive and determination to lose 120lbs quickly enough to worry about loose skin. You could probably lose the first 40lbs just making some simple dietary changes, the next 20-30lbs by continuing to eat better and moderate exercise, but that last 50-60lbs is going to take you years compared to the obese moron, just stop chugging sugar water and eating cookies, beginner's losses and the metabolism boost losses you'll have after beginner's exercise gains. That is assuming 140 is actually skinny for you. . . for all I know you're 5'2" and 140 is still fricking fat by the time you reach it, in which case you'd still have 30-40lbs of excess fat that would cause any loose skin to just look like regular ol' being fat. . . which I guess just barely obese is better than gigafat landwhale mode. So, good luck either way.

5'6" 140 definitely beats the Blastoise mode average women are setting these days.
Muscle is also denser and there's no way you'll get down to 140 without getting some gains at the gym unless you go insane on cardio, which most women opt into getting at least some muscle in their thighs, hips, ass, etc.
So, yeah, decent goal. 140 will probably look pretty alright when you get there. Also, by the time you get to 140 you will know how to eat right and lose weight, so if you ever wanted to lose more it's not like you're going to lose 120 over 3 years and then just give up if you needed to do another few months to lose an extra 5 lbs or whatever to get where you want to be after the initial goal is met. . . Regardless of all of that, just take care of your skin avoiding sunburn, use lotion, regular hydration, all the usual shit for decent skin, and loose skin shouldn't ever be a worry so much as what you're going to do to lose the weight in the first place.

In the meantime, you can always go for walks until you're ready for the gym. Probably burn 125-200 calories per mile starting at 260. A morning constitutional, just listening to music and walking wherever at whatever pace for 60-90 minutes is good for weight loss, cardio, stress release, and a better wake-me-up than a cup of coffee.
yea i’ve seen that cardio is super super helpful while u still have the metabolism boost from being fat, i’ll probably get back into to walking about 2-3 a day like i did a few years ago

Forget about cardio until you hit 165lbs, focus on your diet and to curb your cravings for junkfood.
Also start lifting while you're still fat and gain some strength for a few months and cut about 250kcal, you will lose your strength during your cut when you will be more aggressive like in a 800 - 1000 deficit but your strength will return when you eat normal, you will just be lighter.
And yes it will takes months if not years.
If you eat in a 300kcal deficit for the next 365 days you will lose 14kg(30lbs).
If you keep the paste you will lose 90lbs in 3 years.
The last 40lbs are the hardest.
