      Do you know what's left when you subtract HDL and LDL? I googled it and apparently it's triglycerides (20% of it). So you're saying TGs are bad only?

        subtracting hdl and ldl from total cholesterol gives remnant cholesterol. triglycerides are measured separately, and elevated triglycerides may also be a risk factor.

    I've drank several thousand raw eggs (4-5 per day average).
    Hundreds of pounds of all kinds of raw meat.
    Hundreds of gallons of raw milk (goat & cow).

    I love how morons on this board are so extreme. Yes, cholesterol isn't bad for you since our bodies generate it. But if you have high cholesterol, which debate about dietary affects your cholesterol or not, your diet and weight contributes to it. If your your ratio is bad or your ldl or triglycerides are too high it's not good for you.

      for less risk of hear disease you need to be around 240 mg/dL of cholesterol, but doctors will put you on meds if you're above 180
      the highest risk of heart disease comes from leves below 160, and only starts being high again well after 320
      low levels of cholesterol are what kills you
