    You guys seriously go several weeks without food? A day or two I could understand but weeks? Isn't that dangerous?

      If we're being all technical and shit the human body -can- survive for about a month or so, even if you weren't obese to begin with. Doesn't mean there's not tons of context as to who is and isn't an appropriate candidate to try it, for how long, and whether or not they should hard fast or take some sort of mineral/vitamin mixture while doing so. Health conditions and all that.

    Where my dry faster kings at?
    I can only manage 24hr fasts, I’m wondering what a 72 hour would be like.

      72 isn't so bad but you will really feel the lack of salt
      maybe easier if you don't exercise in that time

      I just fasted for about 72 hours because I was broke and waiting for my paycheck, it sucked but still totally doable. You kind of intersperse between feeling like shit and having these random bouts of euphoria that carry you through the day. I'm already pretty low bf%, I imagine if you're overweight it's a lot easier

      I finished a 7 day hard dry fast a few months ago. You still pee a little bit everyday despite not consuming any water. Your hair gets super greasy. Zero libido. You have small periods of time in which you feel like shit and you have an urge to watch videos of guys chugging huge bottles of water. You tolerate that then it goes away, and you can actually do something, but you're way too weak (not tired, weak) to do anything physical for too long. Superior mental clarity altogether and no more ailment related to inflammation like asthma, acne, or IBS, none of that. Didn't lose that much weight overall but I think that's because I was barely active. Stopped it but I could tell going beyond 7 days was possible, didn't feel like I was at my limit or anything.

      Mental illness. You are wrecking your metabolism. Absolute schizo.

      It decreases during the fast but afterwards it goes back to a normal level and in some cases give you a higher metabolism. homosexuals like you would argue that exercicse it shit because for a short period of time it destroys your muscles and raises cortisol. Can't see the bigger picture.

    im almost at 48 hours with no food, only water and multivitamins... this absolutely sucks ass, my job is very physically strenuous and sweaty and its hot as frick in Houston

    is it a bad idea to see just how far i can go before i cave in and eat 3 Popeye chicken sandwiches at once like a feral raccoon? Will i fricking get tunnel vision and pass out carrying heavy metal at work? I'm pretty sure that i have the discipline to abstain a little longer but I dont want to be like "surprise! you are unconcious now"

      Same. I'm waiting until this weekend so I can clear out the veggies in my fridge, then I'm going back in. I've done several 72 hour water fasts already, but I wanna go the full week this time. Losing the weight is piss easy once you make it through, it's just getting started that's a pain.
