I did a 7 day fast after xmas and broke it with chicken, maan i was replaying that chickens life from birth to slaughter. I understand the vegan way. Then i reconsidered realizing im not gay and i eat things that are smaller than me
I keep looking at pictures of food. I can taste it in my mind. Somehow that seems to help, just thinking of tasty cheese instead of the nothingness on my tongue right now.
I did a 3 weeks fast, if you go over 1 week i recommend using himalayan salt, your body will need some electrolytes and it will save you from headaches and general health problems that can occur with prolonged fasting. There is research supporting this claim.
As for going into a "food psychosis" i understand. I started listening to Hemi sync / Gateway experience while meditating and had some insane experiences that usually takes years of training in meditation. I reached this in a matter of weeks. Truly life changing and i highly recommend
I usually start with snake juice around the 24-48 hour mark. Incredible confidence and clarity boost. I have a fairly active job and it didn't really bother me not eating, but I definitely didn't have my usual endurance. Also I found myself having "blonde" moments. Which I attribute to so what lower blood sugar and food energy.
I always end up looking up recipes and try to figure out what I want to eat when I'm done with my fast. When you're fasting that container of leftover white rice in the refrigerator looks super delicious.
It’s crazy to me how much better food tastes when you are hungry. My first bite after not eating for a day tastes better than my first bite after getting high as frick. It’s strange.
the body values what it needs
a cold beer tastes amazing after a long shift + a cardio session because my body is depleted and needs the carbs to replenish the depleted energy stores
meanwhile, if all i did was lift that day, carbs won't taste as good, and protein will taste amazing
it's all about what the body needs
beer = carbs = glycogen/glucose
that's why it tastes good when your respective stores are depleted
go run 5 miles and sip a cold beer after, tell me it won't taste good as frick
If you want real bliss smoke THEN eat your meal. It's worth it once for the experience, but don't do it more than that because you will probably pig out.
Higher white blood cell and stem cell count, lower insulin resistance, weight loss, lower risk of cancer, lowers blood pressure, better digestive health. Fasting has been studied heavily, it has a lot of benefits.
The other guys have posted good stuff but I'll chime in and say that it's easier for me to just not eat at all rather than to eat "a little less" to cut. That or I have to exactly plan my diet and meals. Both work for me, but fasting is a little like taking a plunge in a cold pool to kickstart it all.
Yeah, the food dreams are really rough starting out, happens to a lot of people who are just getting into fasting. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll get adjusted enough to fasting where you don't really even think about food. It does take a little bit of self control, though, similar to not deliberately thinking about lewd stuff and looking at porn (which is effectively what you're doing here: ).
Really, just keep yourself preoccupied. If you have an autism game you enjoy that you can play all day long to keep yourself distracted, do that. Lift/do cardio. You're thinking about eating out of boredom, and once it worms into your brain it will make you start to feel hungry. Make sure you're getting your electrolytes so you don't feel like shit. If you're still struggling, a little cheat code I've found that works exceptionally well for fasting is taking kratom--it suppresses hunger and a lot of the general shittiness/stress you feel while fasting. Just don't be a moron and get addicted to it.
I'm on day 4 of my fast and last night I legit hat a rage filled nervous breakdown about all the things I hate my mother for (varying degrees of issues, some super serious, some frivolous) just running through my head on loop.
I've fasted many times but this was a first. Normally I don't even hate my mom and have a good relationship with her. I've also pretty much never had anxiety/depression before.
I've fasted before as well, but this time i noticed I'm a bit irritable. Maybe because it's winter, my body is not happy about lacking food in the cold.
I can't fall asleep while fasting, it's 2am, i woke up at 7am and had a 12h shift where i walked about 15km at. I only drank some coffee at 9am and at 2 pm. Ot's weird cause i usually wake up rested even if i sleep like shit when fasting, but the fact i'm not getting 8h sleep is so annoying.
I was in complete darkness for the last 2 hours, drank water and had a cold shower, still no trace of sleep, i bet i could run 5km naked in the snow and still not feel tired. I just want to sleep for my fricking gains. Help...
Most of the people here haven't gone without food for a week, let alone a month. The desire to cram sugar and beer down their throats is why their average lifespan is only in the 60's now. (Most don't realize it has gone that far down)

>inside the mind of a fatty
Fascinating
It's more a discipline and religious thing. You go five days without food, you'll understand.
Bro just do it intermittently like a normal person
No it's not and you know that's a cope.

Seriously why do people do this. What conceivable benefits are there?
there are documented health benefits, look up autophagy
you get to purge damaged cells and other toxic shit that builds up inside you
it's also an easy way to get into ketosis to burn fat'
it's like a keto diet, but your fat source is your own body
I have personally never done it though, I felt like I was going to faint after 24 hours

Give it a couple more days and then try it; you'll hate it and won't want to eat it again.

I want to fast during work but I work the night shift.
Is it safe to fast at night?
>Start fasting
>Brain dreams about junk food
>Stop fapping
>Brain dreams about sex
Can this fricking cuck organ shut the frick up for like 5 minutes. "Most advanced organism" my ass
