The new stuff is way better than the main show has been for years and years. I finally stopped watchined TWD in season 8 after several seasons of hatewatching but I actually somewhat enjoyed the Derl show and aside from this meme dwarf (who dies) the first two eps of this one have been decent.

man, I started watching this show again starting from Season 7. It gets progressively worse after the Negan saga resolves.
It gets confusing too if you don't watch the spin offs (which I didn't). It's so fricking bad.

It seems like a lot happened to the writing teams just before COVID and COVID permanently ruined them. Carol, a 50+ year old woman, is one of their most capable fighters (lol).
