cleanse face > tret, every other night, let set for 20 mins > hyaluronic acid, let dry > peptide moisturizer

enjoy baby ass skin in 3-4 weeks

maybe go easy on the tret every other night seems a bit intense, i do twice a week, but i suppose everyones different

yeah you’re right anon, every other night might be excessive. it’s definitely excessive with the .1% but i use .05% and my skin handles it okay.

probably should have clarified that you need to work up to it as that shit fricking rapes your moisture barrier if you’re not used to it or use it too often

does this stuff just make your skin smoother and tighter? i don't really have any wrinkles since i never go out into the sun and i moisturize every night with some cerave as well as some vitamin C serum
should i bother? i'm new to skincare and still learning on what i should be using
i just know that chud lines run in my family and im trying to avoid them through preventative measures kek

im no science gay, my autism lies in other areas but it basically just stimulates skin cell production and turnover, basically speeding up skin regeneration, which slows down as you get older. blah blah something about improving collagen production and shit, idk. it works and it’s proven to work and you will see results and preventative use is always better. it makes your skin UV sensitive so only use it at night.
also move the vit c serum to the morning and use a hyaluronic acid serum at night after the tret has dried.

            basic but mildy advanced routine-

every morning: cleanser/mild exfoliant, vit c serum, moisturizer
every night: cleanser, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer
every 3 nights: cleanser, tret, hyaluronic acid, moisturizer.

i also double cleanse 3-4 days a week with differin cleanser with benzoyl peroxide to keep away acne/blackheads.

              Anonymous

i also use some korean cleanser i bought from this beauty store once a week. smells like an asian gf i had and it works really well for cleansing but it kills your moisture barrier so i only use it once a week.
the biggest thing with cleansing and exfoliating is that it will dry out your skin so you NEED to start slowly and figure out how your skin will react to it all and to ALWAYS keep it moisturized. not to the point of greasy but to the point where you have a shine and glow to your skin.

good luck anon, let me know if you have any product questions as its a rest day and im spending my night on IST so ill be here to help. 🙂

In case yall dont know what dry skin looks like allow me to explain. Dry skin is obvious, yes, but you have to know exactly what it is so you're not surprised.

Basically, it looks like multiple skin pieces are peeling off, pic related. It is not always in complete sheets and it can looks like moldy shit in severe cases. For your face, it is not ashy like black people call it, usually. Rare cases might be that severe to the point of ashy and scaly.

It is also not a uniform progression in the sense that it doesnt always happen where you wanted it to be. If you put it on your entire face, it may only be the sides of your mouth and not your cheek. Or only your T zone and nose, or only forehead and jaw. It's somewhat unpredictable, which makes spot targeting almost useless.

Supposedly, Adapalene/Tretinoin can resurface the skin to heal ance scars too. So, ideally you wanna spot treat it right? Well, we just dont know if it works because you might not see any peeling there, which would suggest skin turnover. Still, use it anyway, just dont fixated on it.

I'm getting a paper prescription from my general practitioner, then scan it and use it to order 50g Cordes Vas brand creme tubes from an online pharmacy in Germany. It's literally not available in my country unless mixed with antibiotics.
If you don't want to get a prescription there's a pharmacy in Andorra that sends Retirides brand tret to EU. I go prescription route because it ends up cheaper.

read about tretinoin purging. not everyone call tolerate it either. generally whites handle it the best, hence why it's not used outside of the west

  12. 3 months ago

Used .05 tret for about 1 1/2 years via a prescription that I got from my derm. It faded my dark spots and it made my skin a bit clearer, before starting out I didn't have that much trouble with pimples anyways. On tret I still occasionaly had on or two pimples.

The one thing that made me stop using tretinoin was the shine. My skin got ridiculously shiny and while people from the skincare bubble might think that it looks great, I think it looks ridiculous, especially on men. I couldn't wear sunscreen because sunscreen in and of itself is shiny already. And sunscreen becomes imperative. But honestly I don't really notice that much of a difference after stopping tret.

      Anonymous

Oh yeah, and the anecdotal evidence on tretinoin causing loss of facial volume via reduction of subcutaneous fat scared me off. I think there has even been an in vitro study on the effects of tretinoin on adipocytes which basically concluded that tretinoin reduces the volume and formation of new adipocytes, but don't quote me on that.

The main counterargument to that is that tretinoin isn't able to penetrate the skin deep enough to have any effect on fat cells, so an in vitro study shouldn't be meaningful anyways.

so does that mean that it would be a good idea to avoid using tret on the nasolabial fold area? i thought that tret tightens everything up, isn't the issue with nasolabial folds that it's saggy in that area as you age? how does it make it worse?
also, does anything else help to reduce nasolabial folds? i don't have eye wrinkles since i never smile but i do have some chud lines

I use 0.1 tret directly on my lower eyelids, hoping to reduce dark circles, without any issues. my eyes were dryer than normal for a few days and that's it. it didn't help much with the circles, but completly removed the small lines I had directly under the eyelids instead, though

careful with applying it so close to your eyes. Retinol can irritate the oil secreting glands that moisturize your eyes every time you blink which can lead to dry eye syndrome

          Google "retinol meibomian gland"

Some people swear they've been using retinol around eyes for decades with no issues, so idk how bad it is but keep it in mind if you ever start getting eye irritation

This reminds me of acutane. Lots of people were getting prescriptions for it in high school and I was interested becuase I had acne. But I never did try it. I am glad because now I know that it allegedly makes you later in life have barely any skin oil so you have terribly dry face skin. So I just imagine what these people who have such high time preference who are trying it will end up dealing with in around ten to twenty years.

I think high time preference really are just terribly annoying. They will hound you for not also using whatever they are because they think it improves some aspect of them whether it is steroids or acutane, and then later in life they whine about the ramifications as if they never knew this could happen even though you told them it could happen.

only .05% tret, every night (you can do every other night if your skin can't take it, it all depends on you)
I try to moisturize an hour before applying it. I wash my face with lukewarm water before applying the tret, and I spread a pea sized amount all across my face
daily sunscreen is incredibly important, it probably helps with anti aging more than tret does, make sure you're reapplying sunscreen every 2 hours at least

that is the "official recommendation" from experts
they also recommend wearing it while you're inside (sun and glare still get in), wearing it when it's cloudy or winter (it only blocks 20% of the sun) and using about an ounce per application (a shot glass worth)
So on a regular winter day where you stay inside you should go through a bottle of sunscreen a day according to the experts

Still not using sunscreen. Slop back then wasn't even formulated correctly to protect from UV light. Sunscream also causes inflammation and oxidizes the skin.

Routine: Ultra red light in the morning by watching the sunrise outside with skin exposed to the sun and grounded to the earth. Do this for at least 3 minutes for the ultra red light benefits. This protects and heals skin from UV and other oxidants.
Then get UV light and vitamin D mid day, spend 20 to 40 mins outside with skin exposed to sun, grounded.
Finally watch sunset for more ultra red light benefits, outside in the afternoon.
If your shadow is taller than you, you are getting more ultra red light, if your shadow is shorter than you, you are getting UV vitamin D.
It's OK to miss these steps, just catch up when possible.
Getting ultra red light is as important as UV.
I don't use any creams, but will consider peptide creams in future.
For face, I use colloidal copper mist spray some days, and beef tallow almost daily.
