Proportions matter more than actual height? Agree or disagree?
(obviously both are ideal, but what I'm asking is what poison would you prefer)
For instance would you prefer wider shoulders and short, or b***h shoulders but tall? I think if you're short, you're basically just beyond fricked and no amount of v taper/traps/big deltoids will fix that
(Disproportionately) wide shoulders make shortcels look worse, not better. I’m 5’6 with 19” shoulders and it makes me look like a fricking Tolkien dwarf. If I don’t work out I look obese even at a healthy BMI and bodyfat percentage, but the second I put on even a bit of muscle I get accused of “compensating” for my height

The thing is 5'6" is irredeemable so no amount of "good proportions" will fix the way that height looks

I don't know how these measurements work but I used a sliding door and touched my shoulders to the door and frame then measured the space. 19" at 5'4". I've never been accused of compensating and some people don't even seem to notice that I'm short.
