Always tired

I'm 33 and mostly healthy. But I'm tired all the time. I try to sleep 7-8 hours but its really hard for me to get up in the morning. The alarm goes off and I'm just there almost in a coma, it takes me almost an hour to actually get up
What causes this? I avoid alcohol and caffeine, get sunlight and eat mostly healthy
Sometimes I feel like my body needs 12 hours of sleep to even function normally

stop using your phone in your bed like a teenager, you're not laying in bed for an hour staring at the ceiling. If you are, you need to talk to a psychiatrist about your depression

    I’m on the same boat

I find consistent sleep schedule helps

    Don’t overtrain

And get a SAD lamp on an automatic timer which fills your room up with 10k lumens every day at the same time

Your body won’t want to wake up when it’s dark

Get out of bed and jump into a cold bath for 5 minutes

    Congrats you’re awake

Have you gotten checked for sleep apnea? You don't have to be obese to suffer from it. A proper diagnosis and treatment will completely change your life if you do have sleep apnea. You will feel like you actually slept and wake up feeling like you actually have energy. A sleep study could get to the bottom of why you're sleeping poorly. Could even be as simple as needing a decent bed.

Maybe sleep for 12 hours? One night of 8 hours sleep doesn't make up for a 5 hour night, the night before. You probably need to catch up. Then try and stick to whatever your natural cycle is.

Is it possible you are anemic? Do you eat red meat?

Wouldn't that make you sleep for longer?

Isn't that OP's problem? Being tired and sleepy? I bring it up because OP could be something dumb like a vegan or female

Good point. OP needs to vitamin load and sleep. And eat some meat.

I have been feeling like this for the last year anon.
Last week (thursday, literally) I stopped looking at the screen past 9pm (go to sleep at 10pm) and started meditating for 10 minutes before sleep for unrelated reasons. I intentionally set my clock for 7am and struggled the last few days to actually wake up at that time, but today I woke up with literally 0 brain fog and quite a lot of energy. I don't remember the last time I felt like this, maybe you can try this too.

Maybe you are a celiac. When i was nit diagnosed i'd always be tired and felt i have no strength. This is because I would eat but not get any nutrients. You should check out with your doctor tbh.
