Am I doing enough to become normal?

>28 years old
>run and lift weights
>worldclass mobility

>care about appearance with grooming, skin-care and regular haircuts
>have braces to fix smile
>dress normal
>trying to get a college degree
>work part-time
>save and invest money
>meditate daily
>can cook and bake
>play the piano
>play tennis
Up until like a year ago I had always been a complete loser failure weirdo NEET. I want to change and become a normal human being, someone who fits in and nobody pays attention to because he is just part of society. I just want to live a boring average life.

Good job you’re doing well, be sure to make the most out of your time in college. Network. That belief that you’re a loser and not a part of society needs to be checked. You’re a guy who pulled himself out of the gutter.

Do you have any friends in real life?

No, I only have "acquaintances", like I have some people I play at my tennis club and I know some people in my college classes but they are not really friends.

The purpose of a long term gf, or a best friend is to be witness to your life. People want to witness the redemption arc.

Nobody wants someone around on his "redemption arc". You don't get a job if you have a massive gap in your resume, no matter how qualified you are right now. It's like how nobody wants a girl who used to be a bawd, even if she is reformed now.

You’d be surprised how many good people there are. Mostly women.

I don't know, I have seen what happens to losers when they get older. My dad is 50, lost his job, is depressed, suicidal, alcoholic, divorced, an incel (basically can't even get ugly women his age) and every application gets denied. I will put in the effort to try and be my best but I definitely rejected all hope.

Are you from Florida or something? I’m probably spoiled by good people because I’m from Vermont.

So you think friend are overrated?

Value is subjective. Maybe friends are of no value to you. But I think if you had good friends you would see the value in it.

Unreal progress. It’s pretty tough to go from NEET to where you are now so well done. I would say the only thing you’re missing is an active social life. With your lifestyle, you’ll probably get talking to people organically. I think people will find your journey from NEET to where you are now interesting so that might be something to talk about. You can pivot to talking about struggles that others have overcome and bond over that. good luck anon YAGMI

If you have to work to "become normal" you will never be one. It will get better, but you will always struggle.
