God fricking DAMMIT I HATE EVERYTHING
FRICK HER SHE SUCKS
NOT AGAIN. WHY?
By the time you step out into the parking lot, everything is A-okay.
the power of now has a good bit on thinking and mind identification
most of that book is pretentious eastern trash but theres some bits of good information in it
>wake up miserable having to face another day >go through day miserable >come home miserable for rest of night >go to sleep miserable
How do I out lift this
I have intrusive thoughts as well and I really don't know how to get rid of them when I lift, funnily enough I don't have them when I don't lift and I did have ocd as a kid where I would clean my hands after every single thing I did.
>How do you deal with your intrusive thoughts
You 'watch' them come and go and try to not take them too seriously, especially if they're unsound. I used to think negative thoughts made me feel like shit (angry, resentful, depressed, etc). Now I'm starting to think that they stick to me because I feel like shit. Turns out my emotions, and even my beliefs, are not to be taken too seriously. Self-care, sleep hygiene, etc.
>higher level of consciousness, ie viewing your own thoughts from a third person perspective
I'm ok with this if it implies not commenting, not engaging and not arguing with those thoughts. Quite like not feeding the troll.

So basically take care of yourself and reach a higher level of consciousness, ie viewing your own thoughts from a third person perspective
a good anon recommended this book in a doomer thread & i've been reading it casually. the ability to reimagine & take control of your self-image and develop a more positive mindset is truly a key to dealing with intrusive thoughts.
I have real event OCD/PTSD. I've been taking the thoughts that happen & then afterwards stating "no" & redirecting a positive mindset to try & remind myself of who I am is better than some event that fricks up my cortisol. it's a WIP, but Im making progress I think.

grow up and get over yourself, homosexual
i try
Lift harder until bad thoughts go away
Lift heavier or do more reps. If you let your thoughts, not real btw, get in the way of your gains, which are real, you're never gonna make it.

Heal your parasympathetic nervous system by frequent and deliberate exercises such as humming (it concentrates in your voice box)
I get erections when working out a lot. Sometimes the best cooms are directly after a weihhtlifting session
