Lol no they're all over Amazon because they're in impulse buy item and could probably catch on fire they're so shit built. You pretty much get a Chinese hazard buying any treadmill under $600.

you can't get a good treadmill for walking without spending a ton of money, because you will destroy the cheaper motor. when running on a treadmill there is much less resistance. you spend less time on it, and you're pushing the treads the same direction that they're moving. when walking, you rest on the treads, which stresses the motor.

there are walking treadmills without motors, but those defeat the purpose of leisurely walking as a sort of idle exercise. your best bet is to just walk somewhere.

          I'm buying one anyway

another one bites the dust. it seems like no matter how many previous treadmill owners warn people to not buy them, there's always another sucker who won't listen to reason.

4chin is full of contrarians and IST has an influx of doomer wojak posters trying to demoralize every other anon. On every other place or talking to people irl, most have very good opinions on treadmills. I will see it for myself

whatever you need to tell yourself. fyi treadmill owners reproduce like homosexuals: by molesting innocent people. treadmills are not designed for walking, and only treadmills with high end motors will support long-term walking without destroying the motor. final warning, milltard.

Instead of spending hundreds on a treadmill why no join a cheap gym for ~£20 a month and use the treadmills there? Bonus of not needing to make space in your house for it, and there will be other equipment there if you ever want to try something else like biking/crosstraining

Why should I when I can have the comfort of having a treadmill in my own home and being able to watch anything while running/walking. Space is not a problem for me. Also, I will be doing both running outside and on treadmill

when you get your treadmill you will use it for a week and then it will be crouched in the corner of your room as a testament to your stupid consumerism. it will be doubly insulting, because the motor will probably burn out due to you (morbidly obese redditor) waddling on it at 3mph.

weights aren't mechanical artifacts. i h ave a squat rack, barbell and weights, an extra bench, and a bunch of dumbbells, too. i love having lifting equipment in my living room. all of my equipment is cheap chinese shit from amazon, except the squat rack and bar, which are rogue. these are things you can buy relatively cheaply (even the rack and bar) and not have to worry about destroying it unless you're lifting extreme weight or letting it get weathered.

treadmills are mechanical. they have motors. the motors get stressed because of the resistance from your weight on the tread. when you walk on a treadmill, it further wears the motor, because your weight causes much more resistance than running on it. the difference between a cheap treadmill and a professional treadmill is the quality of the motor, and even professional treadmills are the bane of gym managers' existences, because they're constantly breaking down due to gym-goers walking on them for long periods of time.

so, what you said is not relevant. it's totally irrelevant. you're the actual moron, and you're also a cringe homosexual.

it is relevant to what you said about discipline, because I AM going to USE it, you fricking moron. I'm going to buy a good treadmill that will serve me for many years, so you're wrong, you're also cringe weak dyel Black person.
In short, have a nice day

Black person, buy an actual threadmill with slope system. A machine for just walking on a flat surface is fricking pointless and a waste of money, just go outside. If you are an autist just wear headphones.
