I couldn't even train in a home gym anymore I like going to a place everything is already taken care of all the equipment is there plus you get out of the house a little. There is a vending machine once in a blue if you want to live a little.
Home gyms not for me, and I used to be a believer

I can speak for the boxing bag.

Buy a polyform buoy (size depending on the space and experience you have), some climbing nylon webbing and climbing snap hook or quick link (buy the steel ones not the aluminum if you can). Buy also a strong spring.

If you can, never put metal on metal, they will grind each other if you train a lot. Use the webbing and the snap hook/quick links to attach the webbing to the bag and to the spring.

If the ceiling is low, and you can't attach a lot of webbing, preserve the equipment that costs you more (in term of money and/or time-work). In my case it was the heavybags hook

As for the heavybag stand, it is much cheaper and immensely stronger if you can go to a blacksmith/metal worker and ask him to made one from scratch.

I found the best buoy was from polyform Norway. You have to fill them with water. You can use some tube and a funnel in the bathtub but it takes forever. You can use the high pressure washer at a car washing shop if you don't have anything else.

    Good luck.

Pre corona you could have something like this for 2k. Now? I don't know, perhaps double.

If you don't have that kind of money lying around you have to decide whether you want to invest into dumbbell or barbells first.

It's probably cheaper to go dumbbells first since you can get going with just a pair of adjustable dumbbells.
You have two choices here. Either buy those facy powerblocks (or anything like it) or get simple adjustable ones ans some smaller plates with 50mm holes so they can also fit on a barbell if you decide to buy one later.
Then you buy an adjustable bench. (Until then you can made due with some chairs or something)

And after that you will have to buy a barbell+cage+some 20kg (45lbs) plates.
You can cheap out on a cage, I bought a brandless one and it serves me fine. But don't cheap on the barbell. Get a good brand like Rogue or ATX.
As for the plate, cast iron is just fine. Just watch the tolerances.

You may also want some floor protection if you're going to deadlift.

      >You can cheap out on a cage
only do this if you for sure know you dont want any attachments like a lat pulldown

you can get a $50 dual pulley system and still cheap out if you're short enough or willing to sit down low enough to the ground

Buy a bar and some rusty plates.
    Buy rubber mats.
DIY the rack from the wood, there are guides on the web. You don't need a metal one.

kek, my platform says "in these moments, time stood still" in reference to being stuck in the hole. Maybe I should change to something about diddlies when I replace the top board. Go to shit like playitagain and you can find premium everything for piss cheap because the kids working there have no idea what they've got out on the floor. The platform just make yourself with stall mats from TSC and 4x8 plywood from wherever
