Getting a gf is usually a secondary effect of doing those self-improving things well. Going out into the world with the explicit purpose of finding a girl usually ends up in failure, but if you go about your daily life with skills, knowledge, fitness, and good grooming under your belt, you'll likely find someone.

I have so much momentum built up in going to the gym, eating healthy, reading, that it would take a conscious effort of giving up to stop it. But I don't care about the social stuff as much any more.
