There are a thousand channels. From good-and-straight-to-the-topic ones; and those that only promote their OF. You're free to choose.

If the instructor doesn’t have a thick Indian accent then it’s just some pigment-challenged bawd hoping to tantalize some sexual tension. Besides, they never hold poses for as long as I’d like. They aren’t good enough at their job to be professionals that’s why they are on YouTube.
Do sun salutations for a week and download a pdf of poses. pick out what you like, watch YouTube shorts on form and take notes, then do your own flow

      >they never hold poses for as long as I’d like.
      Try different types.
      Vinyasa is the standard
Vinyasa recovery is a bit more slower
Vinyasa Power is more strenghr based
Yin is holding poses for 5 min, very slow
Yin Rocovery is a bit faster.
It also depends on the instructor

I met my gf at a Yoga session. Still go since that's our gym time together

I'd recommed going to a group calss if your gym has those - you get form checks, it's way more motivating to go through with the practice and you get to look at juicy booties too (please don't be a staring creep).

I have been doing yoga for 5 years and do home videos of yoga with Adriene every time. Start slow, and focus on what she is saying to know what muscles to activate during a stretch.

You have no idea what you're talking about and you're basing your entire opinion on memes about moronic women.

Real yoga is the best mobility and stretching system in the world by a huge margin, literally perfected over the course of millennia. Lifting is nice but it wont protect you from losing mobility as you age. Yoga will.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Real yoga, the one perfected over millenia, was conceived as practice for enduring discomfort during long meditations on the road to Nirvana. Mobility had nothing to do with it. Today's bullshit is just for women to practice enduring interesting positions while they get fricked, with the added bonuses of their being naturally flexible so they're good at it without trying and getting to claim some spirituality horseshit.

          >today's bullshit
Again, you're just projecting based on your ignorant presumptions. Your entire post is bullshit but even if it weren't, an exhaustive full body strength/stretching routine is going to improve your mobility regardless of the exact reasons it was developed.

If you want to avoid it because you're moronic then feel free but all you're doing is harming yourself.

Without doxing myself, you can trust me on this, I definitely know more about yoga than you - I was practicing in the 80's, and I've watched and cringed at it's devolution. Calling yoga a full body strength/stretching routine is all you need to do to invalidate anything else you have to say on the topic - it's good at neither of those things.

This guy gets it. The Yoga routines you see today come from Prussian militarism exercise routines. There is a reason 99.99999% pajeets have shit bodies.

There is nothing wrong with modern yoga, but understand its about as "Eastern" as bellbottoms for hippies.

Ive been doing yoga for years now, nearly daily, and I love it. Im actually planning to ditch my law career for yoga teaching lol. These are my recommendations:

    i) Sean Vigue Fitness - the guy is very positive, has great flows, tons of videos, good at explaining and also does pilates. Video lengths range from 10 to 40 min. Here are some of my favourites:

    - an absolute classic ive done at least a thousand times now. Hits everything, great lower back release, very relaxing too and all done in less than half an hour.

    - longer one, very balanced. Has great twists

    - restorative yin yoga. Amazing after jim/work/before sleep

ii) Yoga with Tim - Tim is kinda gay but his routines are good. Much more technical than Vigue, sometimes has long flows that let you get very deep into the stretches and the muscle-mind connection.

iii) Saturno Movement - kinda goofy and now the channel focuses on calisthenics, but scroll into their early videos and anything with "yoga" in it, they have suprisingly great flows. The morning ones were amazing.

Cheers anon, hope you can find the same enjoyment in the movements that I can. Theres nothing like the feeling of your muscles releasing tension.

Good on you anon, trust me this Yoga stuff works but it just takes a bit of time.
I've been at it for 2 months now and feel a lot more nimble, been working on middlesplits too

Thanks anon, that's a good post. I'll look through those routines over the coming week

Yeah I do 10 minutes early in the morning, mainly Yoga with Kassandra. Then I'll do some knee and longer holds if I want a deeper stretch, or some of her 20 min core ones from a few years ago as they're more intense.

Coming to terms with how rigid I was and how fleeting my mobility and agility keeps me going. I think a lot of people just assume flexibility and pain-free lower back is the norm, but then get older and take horrible care of themselves, and try to lift something bulky and then poof you're in pain for the rest of your life.

And yoga ties in with an actually useful form of mindfullness, rather that some gay corporate bs, so I don't hate myself as much anymore.

I learned yoga before any were doing it on youtube, just learned from a book. It's old and I took any of the mysticism shit and exaggerated claims with a grain of salt. But the book is full of great detail and precise description.

If you get decent at yoga start going to yoga classes with women. A lot of women who take it are coomers and some do yoga specifically because it makes them orgasm more intensely.

    >I wanna get real good at stritches.
Why? Are you a woman? Mobility is more important than flexibility. The former improves range of motion, the latter just makes you really good at being fricked.

The best yoga session for the time is Jillian Michales. 30 minutes long with movement in it you get a good cardio workout.
