Anyone struggle with sleep apnea?

>haven't been able to sleep for years
>NEET because of depression, anxiety and adhd
>go to ENT doctor
>diagnosed heavily deviated septum
>nose airway basically like a straw
>tfw no money for surgery
>can't get a job because always tired
I am very close to killing myself.

If you can find an afternoon data entry job do that. Usually people leave you the frick alone and you just type in front of a computer all day while listening to music/podcasts/etc.
    t. Former NEET and that was my first job, would not have lasted doing anything else

I already have a 4 year gap in my resume, how would I even get hired?

yeah just wait until you do the surgery and it doesnt fix shit, or makes it even worse.

If I ever manage to raise money for the surgery but it does not fix my problem then I am 100% killing myself. Not being able to sleep is not a life worth living or even possible to live. I am 24 years old and feel like 80.

Don't do the surgery - side effects are not worth it

      >don't take the surgery and kill myself within the next years due to sleep deprivation
      >or
      >take the risk and have chance for success
      >if empty nose syndrom then suicide
      It's clear what I do.

        how fat are you?

Honestly you sound like you're just 400lbs.

I am 12% bodyfat and have good cardio because I force myself to fun. It has nothing to do with my weight. The airways of my nose are very very narrow, left nostril almost blocked completely. When I lay down in bed and everything relaxed my nose blocks completely.
Surgery is the only way out.

I have to start saying I'm a BJJ brown belt in good shape.

I have a heavily deviated septum and have always snored a little. After my first deca cycle the snoring has multiplied and became an issue because my wife needs earplugs to sleep with me now.

Had a talk with a doctor and did some tests, and turns out I have hipopnea and not apnea (it means I breathe less, but my breath does not stop entirely) and my oxigenation is good so its not harmful. Years of jiujitsu and steroids have made my neck thicker and my deviated septum doesn't help. These are the possible causes, but the only reason I'm not fricked is because I'm in good shape cardio-wise.

I would suggest you do cardio, and also look at the possibility of using a CPAP. Hopefully you're not a hopeless fat frick, because if you are its possible the surgery won't eliminate the problem, though it would certainly lessen it (as per the convos I've had with the doc).

Sleep apnea is a serious condition and a silent killer and people should talk about it more in the bodybuilding and martial arts community. Derek has a pretty good video about it (and the CPAP).

Anyways thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Here you go, bro, just saved your life. I am in pretty much the exact same position as you and tried literally everything short of surgery (nose strips, nasal dilators, mouth taping, various nasal sprays, modafinil, racetams, CPAP, etc.) You could try that stuff if you want, but I've been using this for about 2 weeks now (it takes a while to kick in) and I feel way better. Also, consider using some caffeine tablets to help with alertness/focus, I've honestly found they work better than modafinil/armodafinil. Don't use a CPAP if you can help it, they suck and make sleep uncomfy. Moreover, you most likely have UARS, which would benefit more from a BiPAP machine anyway. Ashwagandha can help with anxiety, I recommend getting the shoden stuff from Nootropics Depot. Magnesium + Vitamin D supplementation would also be helpful in your case. Melatonin might do more harm than good, but you can try it, just stick to small amounts (0.3mg).

      Thanks, I'll try that.
