      I seasoned the chicken with salt, black pepper, ground cumin, and a bit of lemon juice while cooking it with butter. I also seasoned the veggies with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and ground ginger. Even the rice which I pan foiled had salt and butter (unsalted) added to the water.

      It definitely has flavor but it's subtle and is actually healthy unlike the shit a lot of you DYELs post.

        Not OP, but I used to cook really well and briefly went to culinary school. Then I decided that I want to make my dishes for myself simpler, so now I focus on perfect temperature and timing of things and I basically only season with salt and usually not much else. Saves a lot of work on dishes too.

      Seasoning it is really simple. Mix a scoop of mayonnaise into the rice, slathet some butter on the broccoli, and rub some salt and spices into the chicken. And that's if you want to do that. Most important is the nutrition here though.

              Depends on if you're doing it in a pot vs. cooker. In a pot I do 2 to 1. In a cooker I just do up to my first knuckle. Honestly rice is so easy and foolproof that it's hard to frick up and not come out fluffy. Another reason to just make your own.

        the picture quality is crap but you can make the "stuffing" out of pretty much anything.

        my go-to is 93% turkey, onions, and jalapenos. if i cut the tops off ill slice those up and put them in the stuffing as well

        it comes out nutritious and tasty with a ton of micros and macros. 500kcal for 2 = 55g protein, 19g carbs, 24g fat, and a ton of vitamins/minerals

      That's how chicken works. Use the drippings to make gravy or roast the chicken on a bed of potatoes that will soak up the fat. Also don't cover it. If you try a lower temperature for longer you can keep the chicken moist but it will also come off the bone more easily, which will allow you to pull it or chop it up (mixing dark meat and skin in with the white meat will spread some of that flavor out).

      even if you marinate for days, seasoning doesn't penetrate more than like an inch or so into the meat if memory serves. You're gonna need a smaller cut like wings, breasts, etc. if you want the flavor to penetrate all the meat

    This is my go-to broslop when I am short on time and ingredients but hoongry. Make a box of Mac and cheese (I prefer Annie’s white cheddar with the rabbit Bernie) crack an egg into it after cooking and mix it in with the milk and butter, stir so it binds. Add in pouch of tuna, then for sides add sauerkraut and either broccoli or cauliflower. Then for dessert either celery with pb or an apple with pb

        The fattier chicken is a significant but worthwhile difference, frick chicken breast. That's why I mentioned reducing rice if you really have to. Using a tiny bit of oil to fry already cooked rice is not significant.
        And with properly cooked vegetables I mean charring them for a better texture and more flavor, which does not need much oil either. Anyone who actually enjoys steamed soggy broccoli every day is a monster.

    These meat-1 veg-rice meal prep bowls do not reheat well at all no matter how many of dem spices you rub your chicken with, it always comes out tasting like airline food. I'd much rather do a curry like butter chicken with spinach and some other veg mixed in, when you nuke that and nuke the rice separately before combining it comes out just as good as fresh. Yeah it's more fat but I like eating food that tastes good, just compensate with some other area of your diet idk.

    I'm doing OMAD to lose weight and every single workout day I bring a lunchbox to work. Every single meal is 3 of these sausages, buns and barbeque sauce for them, a small ramen cup, and 3 clementines.
