    I usually do a working set of two plates and then 2 sets of 3 plates. I struggle with the pain/pressure it puts on my body where the bar path lies, though.

    I was doing them but have given up to focus on squats. I couldn't be fricked doing 10 exercises when I get in the gym. 3 is enough and I don't give a frick if I am dyel for life.

    the gym bawds do them, usually smith machine. they all have big asses and at 6'2" i have twig legs so i started doing them, can do 3.5pl and still barely above hank hill ass.

      Slow down the eccentric (downward) movement to about 5 seconds. Pause at the top and squeeze glutes. AMRAP.

        Plus try to point your toes slightly outwards and spread your legs like a prostitute for extra gluteus maximus gains.
        The bad part about hip thrusts is that you miss the big stretch under tension position. This can be complementary with lunges with elevated front foot, that will stretch the living shit out of your ass. You can also climb stairs skipping 1 step every time

    hip thrusts are basically working all the same muscles as the squat minus the quads and hams. They're for your glutes, exclusively. You want a big ass, this is how it's done
