Are push muscles more important than pull muscles?

Think about it: Arm size is mostly dependant on triceps, shoulders increase your width and are very masculine (lots of androgen receptors) and big pecs are very aesthetic and strong-looking. Meanwhile, a big back makes you look like a deformed bat-human and biceps dont contribute much.
In a real fight (i.e not wrestling/bjj) pull muscles are barely used, while push muscles contribute a lot of force to both punching and hitting with a weapon.
Women also dont care about your back, for them is all about torso and arms.

it literally depends on what you define as "important". so if you cant figure out what you value in your own body then no one here can help you with that.

Big back and shoulders is what makes you attractive to women, chest too big look like boobs implant and outside the gym nobody finds big chest attractive.

      this.

The things that women appreciate the most is the V-shape - good back and shoulders and nice solid ass and strong legs.

Girls hate man with "mosquito" legs.

      This is my anecdotal experience.

        >women hate men with mosquito legs
I see so many lanky dyels overfocus on squats for this reason and it's hilarious. Upper body strength is the most sexually dimorphic feature of humans. Skinny chicken legs are gross but an ass fatter than your upper core is even more gross.

A strong and healthy back is more important than a strong chest. Anyone who has ever hurt their back can attest to how much it fricks you up.

If you overtrain push/anterior your going to have a rounded over posture, shitty shoulders and a craned neck.

I tend to lean towards training more pull/back/posterior because that promotes correct posture which is far more aesthetic.

In practical terms, compare your lifts for exercises like bent over rows and deadlifts in comparison with your bench on a site like Strength level with other athletes in your weight class/experience level.

A "real fight" is 2 drunk buttholes grabbing each other by the head and trying to ragdoll the other person so they can beat them up while they are on the ground. As far as aesthetics are concerned, you'll look like a mutant if you have no back

Overhead swings, sideways swings are both back.
Throwing javelins is partially back, partially push muscles.
Bow and arrows are 90% back.

Large back with thin waist is usually 50% of what makes someone attractive, large shoulder and back is good. Large pecs are a meme, sure it neefs to be big but there is an upper bound, many men at the gym have comically breasts it just looks awkward if not straight up gross, big pecs are not natural looking, look at most athletes in different disciplines and you may find strong backs but almost always flat chests.

Other way around, even to an extent in pure striking sports
The posterior chain is where your real world strength comes from and imho should be prioritised
Broad back and shoulders, slim chest is best, the greeks had it right

You shouldn’t even be in a „real fight“ unless you’re some low class subhuman.
Good luck explaining to some lowlife how you don’t need pulling muscles while you’re getting stabbed or he’s laying into you with his glock.
I‘m sure women are also very impressed when you tell them how you’re preparing for all these imaginary fights in your head.

I am a man because I know I don’t give a frick what little insecure boys think is „manly“. You’re the type to worship some e-daddy larping as a tough guy because you never had a real father figure. Don’t worry, you’ll get over it at some point.

You’re a coward and a pushover. You love honestly never gotten into a fight when you were young? You learn a lot aboht yourself in a fight, you discover what you’re made of. You discover that you are not made of glass and you find out whether or not you’re a coward.

Lmao. Absolutely un trustworthy. Every male should get in at least one fight in their life.

. Don’t worry I totally won’t bring any weapons because it would be unfair. Who would ever bring a knife to friendly match between men right? And don’t worry about my homies, they’re only going to watch they aren’t going to be caving you’re head in because that would be against their „honour“.
            You still wanna keep going?

You can just say you’re a b***h, it’s okay. Justify it however you’d like, but you’re a total coward. If you get in fights past the age of 25 or so you’re a moron but if you’ve never been in a fight when you were young you are a b***h through and through. Simple as.

I’m not even particularly tough but I know what I’m made of, and when push comes to shove I’m ready to go

I’ve been in a fight and I’m kind of in the middle on this, tending to agree with you. We’re in a really fricked up situation in America right now where lower class people are still true to their instincts and ready to fight when the situation calls for it whereas middle and upper middle class people refuse to fight even in the face of extreme provocation, due to the way they were raised and the social environment where a battery charge could completely ruin their life. It’s created incredibly fricked up social dynamics where the worst people feel the most empowered in day to day social interactions, from school all the way through adulthood

NTA but yes I've been in fights in junior high school. I don't know what shithole you live in, but try to start some shit as an adult around here and all you'll do is have someone call the police on you; then you'll get a court date. In the court you'll get fined and also enjoy having it on your criminal record for a few years. Any non shit job will require clean criminal record btw. Maybe in your Black person infested shithole is different but don't assume we all live in some Brazilian favela dystopia tier place

obviously it’s better to have a social environment where fighting is rare. But I feel like we’ve taken it too far and now the people who want to act like dickheads can and do with zero repercussions. People held their tongues far more often before because the implicit threat of violence was there.

Lmao. God DAMN you are a bunch of pussies. When I was living in Washington they have a mutual combat law where two willing parties can fight. Do you know how badly you have to frick somebody yo to get a felonious assault charge?

You’re just scared so you have these excuses.

I live in a small European town. You will not get yourself in jail (though if it's weekend you will stay in the PD locked up until Monday morning) but you WILL be found guilty for battery/ assault / disturbing the peace which you will have to pay a fine and yes, this will be put on your record for a few years (depending on the charges). Keep in mind that in violent acts here charges WILL be pressed on you even if the guy you attacked does not wish so. There's actually, most likely two courts waiting for you: the so call criminal, which will decide what you owe to the state for disturbing the peace, assaulting someone etc. This will happen no matter what. Now if the other part decides to do so, they may sue you and you will also have to go to the civil court. And you will pay more fines. Like I said, I understand you live in Detroit or some shit where people fight all the time and they have guns and whatnot. But here it's OK to even walk alone at night. Even as a little girl.

Ps keep in mind that the law is the same even if you are a tourist.

I agree with this. You’d think you were right OP but a good back is essential to aesthetics. It plays a huge role in the v taper. When guys have no lats they just don’t look impressive even when their shoulders are big. Also forearms are extremely underrated for aesthetics

    >Arm size is mostly dependant on triceps
Triceps are used with lats just as they are used with the chest and shoulders.
    >shoulders increase your width and are very masculine
And to get them big you will develop an upper back.
    >a big back makes you look like a deformed bat-human
Gay preconceived notion programmed into you by the fat moronic mess that is modern society. Wide power!
    >and biceps dont contribute much
What the frick happened to strict curls? They should be a powerlift.
