They're great during endurance sports if the electrolyte balance is good. They're just another way to be a fat frick who drinks calories otherwise.

I say this because most people I see drinking them tend to be fat fricks that just did 20 minutes of cardio who aren't acknowledging that maybe drinking 100cals after burning only 200 isn't the play.

You can make non-goyslop versions of the drink that do the same thing but better.

Powerade zero and flint stones vitamins are the only supplements I take. Sports drinks are high in sodium and have alot of corn syrup but the zero ones are generally not bad for you I only have a 16oz one every so often if I’m super exhausted and worked out hard and mowed the lawn after or something.

The non diet ones are pretty bad. Don’t drink your calories

You can DIY it for cheaper with lite salt and Mio flavor drops. The Mio blue one with caffeine is litty. Then you don't have to restock over and over with big plastic bottles.

Yes it's good for you in an athletic or rehydration context. It's sugar, salt, potassium, magnesium water. All of which is good.

But like others have pointed out, you could make a cheaper version yourself.

Liquid I.V. is kino, but it's only really worth it if you're doing something like working full time in the summer heat in manual labor. Otherwise normal water is good enough

Pickle juice works better. In fact gatorade was invented as a replacement for pickle juice which football players used to drink. It was too hard to get big tubs of pickle juice all the time so they invented a (much inferior) substitute for the gators.

Sorry but Gatorade tastes a lot better to my goytongue and that is what matters.

If you could somehow get the salt and potassium in a sugar free fat based drink that didn't taste like salt butter or winter you could make a killing off of the ultramarathon keto crowd.

When I'd cramp up in bed from working in a warehouse, I'd drink body armor (basically gatorade w/ more nutritional value (potassium being important for cramps)). Too sugary for people who are sedentary though, you need to work off those carbs.

I think they changed the formula, Powerade used to be king of isotonic, like Oralpodon, not it's just juice.
