Are these a meme?

Are these a meme? I've read that when you ingest collagen you just break it down to the same amino acids as any normal protein supplement. What's the IST consensus?

the aminos you get from collagen supps are in a different ratio than the ones you get from protein powder.

glycine is the main bottleneck. Your body produces around 3g a day on your own and you need around 9 grams for optimal performance / collagen gainz. You can get them from food or you can get a supp

collagen powder is not a meme but it's often very overpriced

this is why I take 10-15g glycine a day. it only costs €10 per kg if you buy bulk, so price is not an issue.

What other amino acids are bottlenecked?

it would be easier to research this yourself.
effectively the stomach, liver, etc have only a set number of pathways for absorption/transportation.
If you don't absorb those aminos in a set amount of time, they are processed into waste and you shit them out. or circulate too long in the body and will be filtered out via piss.

the age old argument if you ingest x amount of amino acids in a certain amount of time can you only absorb a specific amount.
yes and no, it's entirely based on how you ingest, what order you ingest, what you ingest them with.

the body has a hard time picking up the collagen from supplements
i dont see whats wrong about bone broth that you can simply eat as a soup or put on a sandwich

cant even understand why youre so biased about it unless youre a filthy moronic vegan

    >the same amino acids as any normal protein supplement
it's not the same amino acids so you're not gonna be able to break it down to the same ones

From what ive read, you dont actually absorb the collagen from the supplements, your body breaks it down and it builds its own collagen from it. Thats why collagen supplements are not just collagen but also additional supplements into it that facilitates your body the task to produce collagen. Its not a meme, it made my hands stop hurting from cardio rowing and it relieved my knee pains from excessive walking/rooning

Not a meme, butyou need tons ov vit c + b9 and b12 for absorbtion

vitamin C plays zero role in absorption of collagen peptides, only preventing damage to collagen in the body already.

So you don't have a citation.

It's mostly a meme, the largest issue being that most things interfere with the absorption of something else.
I am now at 5 supplements that are time-maxxed where if I eat them any earlier or later they basically do nothing or little to nothing.
My advice, cut the ratios of supplements.
Save yourself money, supplement the smallest amount you can, or supplement a little from everything multiple times a day.
Just sort of let your body takes what it needs if it needs it.

I cut back my l-citrulline intake to half table spoon twice daily, mixed with collagen half table spoon twice daily, mixed with a few others.

Just let everything sort of fight its way into the body. Min-maxxing supplements gets moronic expensive and rarely has supported benefits.
