i got a captain of crush one and ive gotten better with it (moved up one level but still dyel level) and i guess technically my grip is stronger but aesthetically its done nothing for me and it hasnt helped any of my lifts esp not deadlifts
Idk man i thought it would build my b***h forearms but apparently it doesnt translate over. Hopefully itll help me with deadlifts bc i always fail because of my grip
I actually did this today at the gym, except with one of those 20lb fixed weight barbell. Or would the wrist roller work better? I did wrist rollers with the fixed weight, and also wrist curls and behind the back wrist curls. I did 20s but 3 sets, 60 reps, 20 reps then around 10 reps for each exercise. Does that sound ok? High volume low weight
They worked for me. I started with one of those adjustable shits that went up to 60kg max and worked my way up to 110kg on my right hand, while being able to rep 90kg on both hands. Grip is much stronger, I can one arm deadhang for almost one minute with my right arm and forearm gains are very noticeable. I also don't have grip issues anymore with rdl, hanging leg raises or high volume pull-ups. It's probably the result of the combination of everything, but those grippers definitely helped
yeah i missed that one. i type like the ashd autist is am, struggle with the word 'definitely' and it never shows up in spell check. it's either that or it end up as 'defiantly'
obviously not from spinning alone, i train them of course, but i think the spinning for hours a day definitively attributes.
>definitively attributes.
Don't listen to this moron, he can barely string together a coherent sentence; there's no way he knows why his arms are big.
Fidget spinners are absolutely the best way to get your forearms yoked.
it's not just the spinners, i love training them as well. >13kg low hammer curls 3x10 >13kg forearm curls 3x10 >30kg barbell reverse curls 3x10 >twice a week
Yep.
1-1.5 inch PVC pipe
Handsaw
Drill w/Drill bit
Rope or String
Lobster clasp keychain
1. Drill hole smack in the middle of cut PVC pipe
2. Slip rope into hole and tie a knot to hold it in place
3. Attach other end of rope to clasp
Then simply slip whatever weight you want to use and secure it with the clasp.

i have one of this ones and its literally the goat for forearms, after 2 or 3 sets they get pumped af and you cant tell it worked better than everything else
If you're gonna diy it put two cords in spaced apart a bit. It will help centre the weight
it feels pretty great. I have another one that is like a thick smooth pipe.
That one doesn't feel great. Presumably thicker handles would impart more grip gains but it being smooth and thick just doesn't feel good in the action like the one in the pic which is thinner and knurled.
what's your forearms routine?
mine is >Thumbless Reverse Grip Barbell Curls >Plate Farmers Walk >Barbell Wrist Roller >Bench Assisted Wrist Curls >Wrist Extensions >Rice Bucket Exercises
sometimes I use a gripper
Would recommend going directly to the baraban and directly to the chalk.
Cheaper and more efficient in the long run.
For entry level I would actually recommend this kind:

There's lots of this kind on Amazon and ebay so get the cheapest one that says it goes up to 60kg and does not have the rep counter thing on it to annoy you.
You can get these things for a few dollars, they do not have a hand bias like a captains of crush style one and when you have maxed this out you will be roughly equivalent to captains of crush #1.
Getting from nothing to coc #1 for a few dollars isn't bad.
I leave some in my cup holder and use them at stoplights. No visible difference, but I feel like I'm better able to hold on to my deadlifts since starting this. Helps pass the commute, so any gains made are essentially free.
strong grip
Wrist roller is better
i use these ones
and yes. i kick up 1 notch every friday amd do 3x10 with holding 5, 10, 15 seconds at the end of a set
Have both of these kinds, and they both snapped after a few months. Utter shite.
Do wrist rolls instead
You're holding it the wrong way around.

Realistically, what is this useful for?

Gripping things
Majority of old people injure themselves from falling. Having good grip strength can make you not frick up your wrist when you fall, when youre older

for me, it's metal fidget spinners.
i can't stop spinning these frickers.
Are you fricking with me? You got those arms from fidget spinning?
obviously not from spinning alone, i train them of course, but i think the spinning for hours a day definitively attributes.

Using rope is a pain in the ass, just buy one with a nylon strap they work way better.
That does look pretty good. Even with the two cords it can still wind up to one side pretty easily.

I have this one, grip is alright, got it on Academy store.
Have a pair on my desk, if they don’t do anything unlucky I guess but I just think they are fun to mess with.
Do these things help with jiu jitsu?

Total waste of time. You don't need to train grip in isolation when you can train it while doing more important stuff.
Yeah but it is fun and it would be the quickest route to getting old man strength-tier handshakes.
Gave me thicker forearms.
they keep the plates from falling off the bur but a dyel like you probably only uses dumbbells anyways so sniff it, fart boy
big meme
just overhand deadlift and weighted chins
Tiny baby grippers are indeed a meme
pic related is what you want if you wanna go full monster mode and crush bones
