I've only known one guy who actually competed in PL and he was a little , lean, strong as frick dude (for his size). The rest of the "PL"ers Ive known are just fat dudes coping for not wanting to cut

Neither. I lift things up and put them down, but don't do any of the stupid shit the other two groups do.
I want to look strong and be strong, not look like I have no skin and be good at cheating on 3 lifts to brag about numbers.

      >I want to look strong
That's bodybuilding. Has nothing to do with doing competitions or starving yourself. If you lift to grow muscle, you're a bodybuilder. The term bodybuilding long predates any competitions: it is at its core the art of sculpting the body.

But I also consciously devote time at the gym I could have spent doing various accessories that would give me better visual results to stuff like core strength and balance, so it's not just bodybuilding without extreme cutting.

Bodybuilder I guess. I started lifting to look like someone I could be proud to see in the mirror and I have never once checked my 1rm in over a decade of lifting.

    I look good though.

I actually don't identify as either of these options. I am something that a set of predefined labels cannot encompass.

I to be strong exclusively in the 4x10 rep range of bench, ohp, row, pullup, deadlift, and squat. What does that make me?
