As a fat guy eating less I have to eat like fricking 160+ grams of protein a day. I'm really trying to eat less but that much protein seems fricking hard.
I'll admit that usually I was eating most of my calories in carbs so I'm shifting to more protein but god damn how do I hit 160g protein and not hit fricking 3k calories or some shit?
protein powder
tuna
poultry
read the fricking sticky
Scoop in the morning
Scoop after a workout
Scoop as a snack during the day before your workout
We can do it broq
Eat 4 times a day, eat at least 30g protein each meal you don1t need more. Eat less fat and carbs. Do cardio safely.
150g of protein is maybe 5 scoops of brotein powder, around 700 calories.
I guess the real thing is I should retool my lunches to be more like protein shake + things than like the grilled pork I had today huh?
I guess it's only hard if I'm trying to eat real normal food. I'm a big fan of these Fairlife ones, are they alright enough to supplement with/use as part of a meal/snack?
just keep fat low, prioritize protein, then fill the rest with carbs. a fruit and protein powder/ milk diet for a few months will absolutely melt fat off you. eat 2tbs psyllium with water once a day to bulk up your stool (poppies). supplement, a good b complex, multi mineral, and multivitamin to start.
gay u didnt reply to the best advice, stay fat
kys
You can also eat more times, eat every 3-4nhours a little, but 30gs of protein
I am still stuck in a 3 meals a day mindset that's definitely true.
That's not good tho. Also Unsaturated fats are better and sugar is bad. But you need more meals and calorie deficit with enough protein
I am on board with the lower calorie part, I have my TDEE and log everything in MyFitnessPal and weigh/measure every thing
It's just so much protein I feel like my food still isnt' taking the right shape. More liquids with high protein is probably where I should be.
I do love nuts, I'm even cool with unsalted. I like a good string cheese or beef jerky too, I'm making sure I don't eat fatty snacks any more like chips and cookies and shit like that. I maybe should weave more peanut butter in my diet but it's weird to have sometimes.
Cheese has a lot of saturated fats, but I like it too.
If you ate 30gs of protein like 4 times a day thats 120g protein a day, 5 times it is a 150.
Your body can't use more than 30gs anyways thats why most protein powders have about that much in them. If you overeat protein that will also turn into fat, but protein is less usable calories than carbs and carbs are less than fat. So overeating protein is the hardest to do. Overeating carbs and fat is easier.
Fat is the easiest, especially saturated fats. Overeating sugar is also very easy, if you eat sugar and you don't use it up in the next few hours or half hour then your body will store it as fat to lower your too high blood sugar level
>Your body can't use more than 30gs
Wait really? I had no idea, so I should look at protein drinks that are about that if I'm going to us those in my diet. So the one I posted above I'm just wasting calories on protein I can't use. That's interesting, wish I knew that. Diet education is fricked up
I guess the exact number depends on person to person, but about 30gs is enough. 42gs seems a bit high, but it's ok.
People who take steroids can use more, so they might tell you that you need more, but you don't. All bodybuilders are on juice.
Yeah dieting has too much pseudoscience in it. Protein can also be converted into fat if it is too much, but it's still less fat than if you ate too much carbs or fat.
ignore that anon.
gay stop your broscience
I think no matter what 4-5 little bits of meal in the form of basically all protein will be good for me anyway so regardless of if 30 is all that can be processed or not it's the right decision anyway.
Thanks for the good advice anons.
Based you are welcome, but it was just me. What i said is true though u can find studies on it. I have also lsot weight like this I used to be fat
Honestly even though I work from home I'm shit at like making lunch so like a lunch that is protein shake + salad or fruit or something is like where I wanna be anyway. 0 clue why I'm so ass at making lunch at a reasonable time but I am trying to work around it.
You need to walk or do some low impact cardio, like cycling then if you are in better shape go jogging.
Everyone can get lean if they can jog.
That sounds good, but don't only eat proteing shakes all day everyday.
But if you try to eat 150gs of protein in 3 meals, then part of that protein will probably be turned into fat or energy. But it1s not the best source of energy
Nuts are a good snack/meal if you don't eat toomuch. They are easy to carry around also
