when I tweaked my back
Same. Once I stopped heavy strength building it was easier to lose weight, something I always struggled with. The powerlifting gave me a great basis for my muscles and physique, but I can't picture going back into it. Nowadays I just do whatever feels needs to be trained when I go to the gym and I'm happy with that.
same
realized there's almost nothing to gain and a lot to lose
When I realized If you bodybuild you can transition to strength and look good but it’s harder to do it the other way around because you will have many lagging muscle groups. I still think strength training is useful after volume phases so I can squeeze out more reps during my next volume phase allowing me to get bigger and progressively overload the weight, which makes me stronger and leads to a constant positive feedback loop.

These homosexuals never heard of PHUL/PHAT or periodization
Coleman basically proved this, although I wouldn't go as hard as he did
I bodybuilded for 10 years then got into powershitting and i regret it completely, feels good to finally be back on bodybuilding routine again
After a short visit in snapcity
when everything started to hurt and i looked worse than people who dont train at all
Strength is all that matters.
>blessed for size genetics, can get bigger easily after years of training
>shit strenght genetics (still 3/5/6) but nowhere near top national level.
how do i cope with this bros i dont like bb'ing and enjoy the grind of getting stronger but it is not for me
realize powerlifting at the top level is as much of a genetics contest as bodybuilding is and lift within your means without feeling guilty about having subpar numbers
got fat, hit 550/405/550/300 SBDO, lost all interest
When I got a thicc juicy ass from SS but noticed my upper body had no development other than the juicy breasts from BP+GOMAD
I just train for relative strength. My goal is to win marathons at 140-150lbs looking jacked with my small frame but not bulking too much to lose my speed and endurance.
I am still at it. I hope to get to 260/180/300kg lean as a natty (currently 140/110/180)
>At what point did you grow out of your powerlifting/strength phase?
When I discovered I was stronger than 98% of people and the bulk of the people substantially stronger than me were open class powerlifters who I dont really respect.
The primary purpose of muscles is to conduct work, but once you are already very strong compared to most people, then how much stronger do you need to be? Say you deadlift.... 500 pounds for 5x5, why not drop the weight to a number that is already substantially higher than you will ever need outside the gym say... 300lbs and use that number to look good?
Looking good is obviously a benefit to being fit and is at the very least a 2ndary purpose of muscle. I however, have 0 tolerance for people who look strong but are not.
If you can hit the advanced standards for your bodyweight for 1rm, unless you are a competitive athlete then why not rep out?
daily reminder that blaha since getting evicted shares an apartment with a woman who orders him what to do on stream and prevents him from training loudly in the living the room alongside doing commentary and has killed her ex husband
How does he even afford it? Surely his YouTube channel can't pay that much
He gets NEETbuxx for his meniere's disease.
When I hit a 5pl conventional and it hit me that I never liked deadlifting or lifting heavy and was only doing it to show off. My joints feel way better now after switching to a bro split and I look and feel better. Best decision I’ve ever made
when I snapped my knee up pushing a car stuck in the snow
When I got laid but I’m an incel again so back to the weights
