Athletic exercises for hypertrophy.

Is there any exercises that are good for BOTH athletic abilities and muscle hypertrophy? Most exercises for athletes is some moronic shit like jump very high on one leg with a back pack, throw a ball at the wall spinning around and then catch it, or concentric only exercises like snatch, with zero hypertrophy mediators activation. The only one such exercise i can think of is muscle-ups.

Snatch is jackshit for hypertrophy, it's an explosive, whole-body concentric only movement.

Building muscle and building athleticism are two different things. Sure there is overlap but there is a reason why athletes train both.

how do you even quantify athleticism beyond the ability to be good at those athletic excercises.

To add to this commando pull ups, they add anti-rotational strength component to regular pull ups.

You're right, either train sports or bodybuilding.

Until the 2010s, bodybuilders were considered freaks and nobody really wanted to look like that. Then zoomers took the memes seriously.

Look at pic related, if you see those statue irl, they're DYEL. Really skinny.
