A big ass has benefits beyond sex. My pants all fit very well and I never need a belt. Men with 0 ass always have plumber crack because there's nothing for the pants to hold onto and unless they're ratchet strapped to your waist, they sag. Sagging pants is a sign to other men thay you're willing to take their erect penises inside your rectum. Therefore, men with no asses are gay.

      Anonymous

I started with one plate. Then two 25s then 35s ect till I could hold one 45 plate in each hand and do 10 reps. Then my balance felt safe enough to use a barbell. Doing pistol squats looks cooler though.

  6. 3 months ago

    >takes very little time to do
It takes like 3x as long as just a regular session of squats. You have to do a set for each leg and you need rest time between each leg, otherwise you are working with baby weights. You are doing at minimum 6 sets with rest times between sets

      Anonymous

      >BSS
Minimal warmup time (already warm from squats), rest 1 minute between each leg results in total rest being 2(sets)-1 (eg 1 set = 1 min, 2 sets = 3 min, 3 sets = 5 min and so on).
      >squats
Need to spend a few minutes (3-5 minutes usually) warming up, need to rest for 2-4 mins between sets. If comparing 3 sets (typical for squats) then that's 4-8 mins rest total.

I'd say they're about equal since the time spent performing the lift is longer in BSS due to doing both legs but realistically I take extra rest on squats more often just because they're more globally taxing so in all they're actually about equal. BSS usually takes me 12-15 minutes to finish since I do 3 sets

I mire the lengths some people will go to not squat.

          You are both conditioninglet work-capacitylets

As long as the total rest time is relatively low it doesn't matter. Resting 1 min between each leg is fairly similar to doing both legs then resting for 2 minutes, just don't rest for 6 minutes between sets (unless you pushed to RPE 9000) and you're fine

You think I've never tried them? I've experimented with literally everything: deficit BSS, zercher reverse lunges, pistols, ATG split squats, step ups, DB lunges, walking lunges, heel elevated ATG split squats, etc. They all have their pros and cons but the only one that has stayed in my program the entire time is BSS because it fills its role in my program better than any of the other options.

More consensus-cracking bullshit I see? Unsurprising since there's been a great increase of people calling every lift under the sun dangerous

Aight thanks, Im just doing 3 sets of squats on my leg days with a hip hinge so these are probably a pretty good addition.

Also what about something like deficit reverse lunges? Are they comparable to these?

I'd say they're just as good on paper but personally I don't like constantly moving my feet around. If you don't mind that or if you can do them in a smith (so your feet can remain stationary) then it's just as good

                Aight thanks bro.
Today is a leg day anyways so Im going to try 1/2 sets of both to see how I like them.

botto, dropped knee in cloombing is used on the front leg as well
are u seriously tryng to argue they have nothing in common? that BSS is safe and effective ? xD

          >Can someone confirm?
yes indeed, if ur left knee is fricked u will for sure frick up right to match it:

          [...]

in all seriousness though, do walking lunges:

go ahead and try BSS though (NO WEIGHT) - ur responsibility though, u have been warned, u will at least tweak that knee

          here, instructional video:

          >Very danger technique for medial meniscus and anterior cruciate ligaments... Flagging is much better for knees
looks way closer to bss than ur photo innit botto?

If your back leg looks like this when doing BSS then you have bigger problems to worry about, primarily profound mental moronation

Should I swap my standard squats on one of my leg days to bulgarians, or maybe on both of them?

these motherfrickers piss me off so much but I never skip them
I have the front foot elevated too to get a deeper stretch, it's fricking disgusting how much they hurt, nothing pisses me off more than doing them

as depicted, it's more quad focused, if you want ass keep front leg further away from bench

I'd argue that Platz's exercise selection isn't nearly as important as his training style. Platz also specifically tried to neglect his glutes.

I love BSS so much bros.
I've got some lower back issues and two-leg squats snap my shit, but split squats totally alleviate that issue.

I do these with just my body weight since I’m a dyel and they make my legs sore for days. Maybe one day I’ll get to some real weight.

The contrary is true. Getting good at single leg work will make your knees stronger than you can possibly fathom.

homie look at that fricking pic, the knees bearing all the fricking load, do you really want me to draw the force vectors?

In a proper BSS and single leg squat your hips are bearing a good portion of the load.

If your patella tendons aren't weak as shit you'll be fine, I did them like that for ages and had no issues
I do them with vertical shins now for more glute focus, if you're so paranoid then do them like that instead

Jogging doesn't make you good at sprinting. Front squats and cleans have me frickin gassed idk about you. Also I'd rather do those tbh it feels more athletic.
