BACK SQUAT IS A MEME

It is a MEME lift solely aimed at powertards, with no real life benefits to your average lifter.
Replacing powerlard back squats with ZERCHER SQUATS and BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUATS is a major REDPILL for your gains, health, safety, and including actually having carry to real life applications.
I will NOT do MEME squats anymore. No, sir.
From now on it is ZERCHERS and BSS.

Compounds in general beat you up and the gains are quite questionable.
All I feel on squats is how my spine tires to not snap in half.
Look at powersharter that survived their 20s and 30s, they all had hip replacement surgery, banged up knees and fricked up spines.. for what?

Most people who go to the extreme in any sport usually have issues. Most NFL players have CTE, alot of MMA fighters get their neck fused, cyclists die of heart attacks. Should we ban exercise altogether for that reason?

Just elevate your heels a shit ton and use a narrow stance on highbar squats. BSS is great tho, never skip it

Split squats are also a meme. It’s an unstable movement that is loaded. Bad combination. Small minor injrues that you won’t even notice from repositioning will add up.

Something like the sled is better for leg development. Unstable single leg movements should only be done with body weight. Maybe stair climbing with dumbells. Would be fine as it is not that unstable. But things like step ups are.

This literally isn't a thing, as long as you never exceed your tissue capacity (aka, start light and use slow negatives so that you don't bounce off of your connective tissues) this won't occur. Over time your tissues will grow and become stronger, resulting in a reduced chance of injury.
      >Something like the sled is better for leg development.
Sledding isn't bad but it isn't good for leg development due to no negative and no stretch. Just do squats
      >Unstable single leg movements should only be done with body weight.
They should be done with the appropriate weight for the rep range you're in. At the moment I'm working with 70lb dumbbells on BSS, since I prefer low-ish reps (5-10 in this case)

    BSS = big ass

how is your squat so low? i have legs not that much bigger at the same height /weight and i can pause 170kg for like 5 seconds on strict highbar

If all you want are big legs you never need to squat more than 3pl8 if you don't want to. Just use controlled eccentrics, pauses, high reps and good range of motion.

Depends on height. Very rarely will you see a guy over 6’2 or so squat in a way that is conducive to quad development. If you aren’t that tall ie tom platz then squats are fine. If you are tall, elevate your heels on blocks

    you are a moron.
Do you see the dorsiflexion on the front squat guy? good fricking luck.
The front squat is a meme exercise because no one can do it without turning it into something that looks like highbar and somehow manages to have the same torwue distribution as lowbar but also the back is the stopping point so you cant train your quads or back chain properly.
Hack squats and highbar/low, it doesnt matter as long as you go ass to grass, are how you grow your quads.
